This deck is the result from mixing a Blue/Red prowess deck and a red burn deck. Honestly, i played much more the prowess deck as the burn but i liked both of these mechanics. Now after a while it was really sad to play with one of those decks at FNM or in a torunament with my friends. There where always someone who killed all my few creatures instantly in my prowess deck until i lost the game. The same with the burn deck, there where always a guy who played with this damn Leyline of Sanctity! Don't get me wrong, it was always a whole lot of fun to punish my enemies...but most of the time i failed in the last few steps to the throne!
With this in my mind, i tried a mix of prowess and burn. "You destroy my creatures? Who cares i'll burn you down anyway! You can't be the target of spells? Who cares, i trigger mi creatures to hit you hard!"
One of the main combos is if you begin your 3th round, your Kiln Fiend is ready to attack and you have a Assault Strobe in your hand. Then you have only cast two additional instant or sorcery cards to trigger to lethal. There are a lot of cards to trigger this combo. Simply play a Lightning Bolt and Lava Spike and you swing for 20 dmg. Also Manamorphose is a great card for the trigger because you draw a card, get a trigger and it was for free due to the mana you get back in your pool. The Increasing Vengeance help you to duplicate the Manamorphose until your guy strikes for more than lethal!
I played this combo a while with Ball Lightning which is a great card to finish the game for 3 mana. But now i want to try it with Eidolon of the Great Revel. I don't know if this really works, but i think in case i miss my creatures, there is a big chance to burn my enemie down in the first two rounds that Eidolon of the Great Revel is a real problem for my opponent.
Now i try to find some solutions for my sideboard. One idea is to switch to a only burn deck with my sideboard, but i don't know if this is the right way. Actually i have some problem with controll decks that destroy my hand with discard effects. But my biggest fear is a opponent who flood the deck with blockers, therefor i have Apostle's Blessing that my creature is unblockable.
I'm happy to hear some feedback, critics an new ideas. I recommend you to try deck for some games, it's a lot of fun :)
