Definitely adding Inventors' Fair, though I'm getting tired of seeing a tutor every other set. I'd like to see more Equipment support that doesn't involve touching my library.

I feel like this needs an Ancient Tomb - it's like Temple of the False God but actually, you know, good when you need it.

Also, I know that the Fetches are listed under "exclusions". But they do give you extra shuffle effects to abuse with Scroll Rack and Sensei's Divining Top shrug

I don't have room for Ancient Tomb. Used it before and had to take it out. There were too many lands in the deck that didn't tap for coloured mana and I needed space for the cycling lands.
I have Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx in the deck as the land to produce extra mana. Even though it needs devotion, it can at least produce coloured mana. And getting my devotion to 4 isn't too tricky.
There's no place for Fetchlands in this deck.
- There's no room. I'm unwilling to replace valuable utility lands or drop below 20 basics for them.
- They're main purpose is colour-fixing, which a mono-coloured deck obviously doesn't need.
- They're not as flexible as nonland cards are to shuffle my library. Fetchlands need to be used right away to produce mana. Nonland shuffle effects can be used whenever they're needed.

Of your lands, Mikokoro, Center of the Sea, Thespian's Stage (depending on meta), Petrified Field, and Myriad Landscape seem weak.
Also, Godsend is a little bit of a weird choice because it falls off of 8.5 Tails when he protects himself. Same issue as with auras.

Daedalus19876: The ability to exile a creature makes it worth running.

Mikokoro, Center of the Sea is a card draw engine that doesn't take up a nonland slot. White is the wrost colour at card draw. Mono-White decks need to rely on alternative card draw options.
Thespian's Stage is handy for "saving" utility lands that are being hit with removal. And if an opponent has a good utility land, it can copy it. At worst, it copies a basic land to produce coloured mana.
Petrified Field can allow me to get a second use out of lands that sacrifice themselves or can bring back an important utility land that was hit with removal.
Myriad Landscape is a land ramp effect. I need the mana for Equipment costs.
As what Guerte mentioned, Godsend is used for its exile ability. It's essentially a better Sword of Kaldra. It also provides devotion for Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx. It falling off from using 8.5's abilities is worth overlooking because of its practicality.

NensouHiebara: Looks like this deck will get some loving with the Kaladesh Inventions, if you decide to pimp it out even more. If not, Champion's Helm will at least have a foil now.

I like that Champion's Helm's finally in foil. Been waiting for that one. I might pick up Solemn Simulacrum and Sol Ring if their prices reasonable. The Swords are a huge "maybe". I'm not going to buy them if their prices end up through the roof (at least Fire and Ice definitely will). I already have the Judge promos of them anyway.

Is refurbish a card you'd consider playing? Sure it is 1 cmx higher than remember the fallen but it brings it to the battlefield instead of your hand.

Remember the Fallen is usually 2 for 1.
I think I would still prefer the fallen card.

Refurbish is neat, but nothing I want to use. I just dropped the much more powerful Profound Journey. I'd sooner use Journey again than Refurbish.

Protector of the Crown is in your maybeboard right now, so what is your opinion of Palisade Giant?
September 15, 2016 10:33 p.m.
NensouHiebara says... #16
Palisade Giant is crap. Not worth the cardboard it's printed on.
Protector of the Crown, even though it has a smaller body, is much better for the card draw engine it provides.

I know that this is voltron, but a funny combination with Eight-and-a-Half-Tails is Ugin, the Spirit Dragon. Use your commander to turn your opponents lands or artifacts into white permanents and then exile them with ugin. I see you have All Is Dust so I'm guessing you already do this, but I figure it is worth mentioning.
September 23, 2016 5:16 p.m.
NensouHiebara says... #18
@AKBZ
I'm fully aware of Ugin, the Spirit Dragon's synergy with 8.5. I don't use Ugin because of his high cost (one 8-drop in the deck is enough for me) and White's removal can already efficiently handle any permanent.
I don't Armageddon opponents with All Is Dust and 8.5. If I have spare mana, I'll go after utility lands or attempt to colour-screw to slow down opponents, but I wouldn't completely shred a player's lands apart. Removing a player's ability to play the game is rude and not very fun.

NensouHiebara: Any idea what you're replacing for Inventor's Fair?
I'm having a tough time choosing between a colorless utility land, or one of the CiPT lands.

NensouHiebara says... #20
I've been thinking of dropping Maze of Ith for Inventor's Fair. Maze is always second fiddle to Kor Haven and I never want to see it early game since it doesn't produce mana.
September 24, 2016 11:01 p.m.
What would you see as the greatest threat against your deck, off the top of my head I would guess merciless eviction?
September 26, 2016 2:13 a.m.
NensouHiebara says... #22
Pretty much anything that can remove multiple Equipment is going to throw a wrench in my plans.
September 26, 2016 9:32 a.m.
Have you thought about running Crucible of Worlds? You seem to run a lot of lands that sacrifice themselves and lands that matter like Homeward Path and Kor Haven
September 28, 2016 5:10 p.m.
NensouHiebara says... #24
Crucible of Worlds isn't worth it. Keeping utility lands on the field is nice, but I don't want to spend a nonland slot on a card that essentially does absolutely nothing otherwise.
