Not to mention if they destroy the equipped creature the sash just falls off as a creature keeping the gathered counters. At least that's what has been applied so far, I'm keeping my eyes on the rest of the set as it is released.

For reference. Its an interesting card but I think the lack of a P/T boost is a major downside.

They act like any other Equipment while attached, so I believe Halvar's trigger will work on them all the same.

I'm in the same place as you with Kirin. I have however pulled a lovely full art foil version of it so It may have to find a home just for bling.

What are your thoughts on Deep Gnome Terramancer and Archivist of Oghma. Each time I look at the arhivist it gets better in my eyes. It triggers off of fetches, tutors, certain ramp spells, and probably more. It also gains life, which is relevant to me because of a lifegain deck I have that wants as many lifegain triggers as possible. It's also a 2 mana 2/2 with flash, so the base stats are pretty solid. I think it is almost better than esper sentinel.... almost. I'm not sure what I'd switch it for in your deck. Probably Wandering Archaic Flip because I just don't like the card. However, I know you do, so idk.
Then there is the gnome. I'd say it's probably better than Loyal Warhound, but maybe that's just me. Instead of just being a one and done ramp situation, you may be able to ramp several times, and it doesn't care if the opponent has more lands than you. I don't know what your playgroup's meta looks like though, so I can't say for sure.
Those are just my thoughts. Do with them as you may. I'd love to hear your insight though.

Also, if you aren't quite sold on Blinkmoth Nexus and you are looking for other utility land options, then I really like Inventors' Fair in my deck. Some other lands that I have that you haven't included are Darksteel Citadel and Flagstones of Trokair, which if nothing else those would be easy cuts in the future.
I also think you could easily cut a plains for flagstones, but I'm sure you'll probably find an issue with that, as it makes you go below your slightly arbitrary number of 20 basic plains (even though it is still untapped white mana). But hey, you do you.

I replaced Inventors' Fair with Urza's Saga last year. I have no intention of putting it back in.
Darksteel Citadel and Flagstones of Trokair both do absolutely nothing.

Ok, it’s your deck. However I also disagree that Flagstones and Citadel do nothing. Perhaps what you are saying is that they don’t do enough.
Darksteel citadel synergizes with exactly one card in your deck (which is by no means a reason to include it) because it counts toward metalcraft.
Flagstones does more than a plains does. So not nothing.
Regardless, I was looking forward to your insight on Deep Gnome Terramancer and Archivist of Oghma and you didn’t say anything about them.

Both "don't do anything" and "don't do enough" apply to those lands.
-
Citadel just produces mana and has no other abilities. Metalcraft isn't enough of an incentive to use an artifact land.
-
Flagstones has an ability that's highly unlikely to trigger. All it will do in the vast majority of games is produce mana. The only situation that it could trip would be from mass land destruction, and one tapped Plains isn't going to be enough to correct that tremendous loss of resources.
I don't like Deep Gnome Terramancer. It has to be on the battlefield when an opponent ramps. If it's drawn late, it will accomplish nothing. It's too proactive, and I'd argue it's worse than catch-up ramp.
I'm not interested in Archivist of Oghma. I already have a draw engine that's tied to my opponents performing game actions. If I need another draw source, I'd look at Endless Atlas before it for the artifact synergy and more consistent stream of additional cards.

What are your thoughts on the “bolt land” of white, Emeria's Call Flip / Emeria, Shattered Skyclave Flip ?
Lands are looking tight, but still something I would recommend above your two Flip current Flip MDFC’s since the land side has an option to come in untapped, which will make your gameplay faster. Sorcery side promotes aggression in an already aggressive archetype, and it also provides 2 evasive bodies that Halvar Flip can toss equipment between to protect you after swinging out with your newly indestructible team.
I know a CMC of 7 costs a ton, but how priceless will it feel when your opponents try to destroy all creatures the following turn after you cast the sorcery since so many people commonly overlook the part of your non-angel creatures still having indestructible “until your next turn.” Sure, they may have killed your angels, but you can thank them for eliminating the blockers of your favorite non-angel! Emeria's Call Flip didn't make the cut when I was replacing the cycling lands with MDFCs. A protection spell Flip and a sweeper Flip are more appealing than a token spell. I wouldn't drop one of them for Emeria's Call. Flip
But I could cut a different land and have all three of them in the deck.

Bit on the expensive side but three keywords and a decent body with stapled on recursion or cheat seems interesting.
Speaking of recursion...

I was wondering if i could get your thoughts on Greatsword of Tyr I saw it do work in a deck recently. I have a deck with Balan, Wandering Knight at the helm that is simular to your equipment deck but much less optimized. Do you think it's worthwhile as an equipment? Or in a vacuum is it just too unexciting.
September 29, 2022 12:32 p.m.
super cool. love to see a new deck with thought out game-plans. I'll try to think of some suggestions. I'm surprised you don't have any Blacksmith's Skill kind of effects in here. They're pretty good in general but that one has nice flavor with the Sword focus of the deck.

IHATENAMES Greatsword of Tyr is a very nice equipment that performs extremely well relative to its cmc and $cost. Its not going to replace a sword of X and Y or anything like that, but its still a very effective card for ground based voltron, particularly when you dont have unlimited budget.

Was about to comment why bother upgrading to demolition field. But I did not realize it was not each player. I'll have to find a couple for my deck.
I'm vaguely suprised you havent tried the new birthing pod like artifact for artifacts. Or in general a Oswald Fiddlebender effect for your better artifacts. Is a tutor effect like this not enough on its own when building a equipment deck? Or specifically this build?
