@Muzik-MAtt

I'm trying out Eight-and-a-Half-Tails for now, as he protects himself, my Equipment, and can make himself unblockable.

Commander Eesha is a bit too vanilla.

Elbrus, the Binding Blade  Flip 's Colour Identity is Black. :(

Konda, Lord of Eiganjo doesn't interest me at all.

The more I look at this deck, the more I see how it makes sense. I had a bant with Treva, the Renewer as my commander, and I only brought her out once I had generated a large amount of tokens. (I like token decks) It is nice to not rely on your commander as much as other decks but there is a fine line between having a semi-independent deck and losing synergy with the commander. But I think this fits quite well.

If your not taking advantage of Kemba, Kha Regent and you just want a white commander. Run Isamaru, Hound of Konda , it would be hilarious and has awesome Casting cost to power ratio. Heartstone also runs well with some of your utility creatures.

@wafleboy88

Isamaru, Hound of Konda doesn't do enough. I'm currently testing Eight-and-a-Half-Tails as the new Commander.

Heartstone works with only four of my creatures. It's not worth a spot.

Painter's Servant is banned.

Heartstone barely helps Eight-and-a-Half-Tails.

IIRC Painter's Servant is banned in EDH.

I've been assembling random cards from my collection to rough out a frame for a Kemba deck of my own, have you ever considered Prototype Portal to make more of useful equipments? (Like the swords) It does involve SOME risk but no more risk IMO than just playing the artifact normally.

Bellock86 says... #11

That's hysterical if you could get the three cards to pull it off. Still like this deck btw. I'm running through a kemba token focused buiod just to cross compare. I fell the need to point out that during testing (not on here IRL) and I understand the reasons why he did not make a token deck. When u focus on using kemba for she draws ALL the hate. Slows me down a ton

The risk of Prototype Portal is that if you throw it down and exile an equipment card from your hand, an opponent can just Smash it and they've 2-for-1'd you.

In my sigarda deck, I'm currently running Mirrorworks , which fulfills the same function as the portal, but with less risk.

@Ohthenoises, Krayhaft

Not big on Prototype Portal or Mirrorworks . Too cumbersome.

Sculpting Steel has been great. It's cheaper, less clunky, and is recurable with Sun Titan .

Are you playing enough lands? Especially with so many colorless lands (and Maze of Ith ), is it difficult to get double white? Mono-white likely needs all the pseudo card advantage it can get out of a low land count, but Secluded Steppe and Drifting Meadow might be worth including.

@hubatish

36 seems like a good number of lands. I haven't had any significant problems.

Not really interested in Secluded Steppe and Drifting Meadow . I like my utility lands to have a bit more purpose. Maybeboard for now.

I'm just sayin that you could put a Kemba's Legion in even though it is an equipment hog it helps to bock several creatures if you put a couple equips on it

NensouHiebara says... #17

@Arcanum

I'm not going to run creatures that are overdependent on Equipment to be good.

Also, there are better 7-drops than Kemba's Legion .

Coat of Arms is devastating with kemba. You're looking at a lot of big cats if it resolves.

June 20, 2013 4:55 p.m.

@Arsene: NensouHiebara has stated numerous times that he is not using a token theme/subtheme. I understand that at times it is either too much effort or too time consuming to read a wall of text and comments like this deck has, but beyond that it's even in the description for the deck

June 20, 2013 6:07 p.m.

NensouHiebara says... #20

@Arsene

This isn't a token deck. Coat of Arms won't be effective.

@CrimsonWings3689

And in a large font size, no less.

How about Crucible of Worlds ? A soft lock with Strip Mine could be included as a surprise tactic... no one expects that in Voltron builds. Besides, it's not a mana-intensive artifact, and you got Enlightened Tutor to search for it.

June 21, 2013 7:34 a.m.

NensouHiebara says... #22

@Wedjat

I don't have room for Crucible of Worlds . There are other cards that I need to be run.

I like it, +1.
I'm a fan of efficient decks such as this, and I agree with you about not focusing the deck on Kemba's tokens.

What are your thoughts on the expensive equipments, like Argentum Armor and the kaldra set? When you don't have Puresteel Paladin out, does paying their equip costs slow you down?

June 26, 2013 1:45 p.m.

Skyfolk says... #25

I'll vouch for him on that: Argentum Armor has won him games (at least against me and a couple other people) and the Kaldra stuff is pretty effective.
