BR Control - had a load of removal with a couple five-drop bombs so I figured the game plan was to hold the fort until I could drop a game-ending

, which turns out is pretty reliable.
Round 1 (Chris, Jeskai Control): 2-0
Three color seems really bad in ELD limited (sealed, of course, but I don't think there's a lot of support when you get into draft). Chris's deck seemed to be angling for control (a few
Didn't Say Please
, instant speed Adventures, the like), but it was pretty slow and my deck was more consistent.
Round 2 (Dominic, BR Aggro): 1-2
Ahh, the fake mirror match. Dominic's deck was BR but was actually aggro knights, the real strategy. While the first game was great for me (because he mulled to five), the second two games were both slaughterfests where I didn't have anything until turn three.
Round 3 (Tucker, UB Control): 2-1
I can already tell that my least favorite card across the table is
Covetous Urge
. I lost game two because the
Charmed Sleep
and
So Tiny
combos kept me from getting any aggression in and that favors the deck with
Castle Vantress
, but the other two games were pretty much what I wanted.
