So, let's make this simple. Play Thalia, stop your opponent from doing things, punish them for trying to play noncreature spells, and then just win by smashing face with big Eldrazi. Yep, this is the Modern deck Eldrazi and Taxes... hey, wait a second. This is a Standard deck?

Yup, I finally came up with an original idea for Kaladesh Standard. It's ironic that it took so long (with Kaladesh being the world of invention and whatnot), but I guess everyone got to all the juicy build-arounds before I did. I was thinking for a bit, and realized something interesting. Kambal, Consul of Allocation hasn't really seen play, even though it does a good deal of work against every Top 8 Deck from the Pro Tour. Yes, even Vehicles plays a bunch of noncreature spells. It's also just a great card in general. It's a constant threat, and getting rid of it comes at the cost of a 4-point life swing, which is not nothing. I decided it might fit in a Death and Taxes type strategy.

The deck is also filled to the brim with removal and creature hate (maybe a little too much, I still need more ways to deal with Control). After stalling for a bit, the strategy is to win with Noxious Gearhulk and Reality Smasher.

This deck still needs work. I need some ideas for ways to deal with Control.
