@fertileorphan I have been trying many different finsihers including Empty the Pits. Good card, perhaps I will replace with Fated Return at some point, but it has saved my butt many times now.
Your opponent swinging lethal with Stormbreath Dragon, sorry, let me steal your Hornet Queen get 4 dudes and make mine indestrubtible.

Also another good finisher would be Ghastly Conscription The same thing as Empty the Pits pretty much but helps a lot against an opponent who plays with their Graveyard

I thought Empty the Pits was a good card in this deck as well, but it's competing will a bunch of other delve spells. Sure, it's amazing if you T2 Waste Not, T3 Dark Deal, and they discard 2 land to give you 4 black mana and 6 cards in the yard... it'll give you 3 zombies plus any discarded creatures gives you between 6 and 10 power in zombies- on Turn 3. Pretty good, right? But later in the game you're delving cards away for Murderous Cut and Tasigur, and the Pits aren't as good any more (I'm also running Dig Through Time in my build). For finishers I have a combination of Tasigur (2), Fate Unraveler (2), Chasm Skulker (3), and Torrent Elemental (2).

After playing SCG DC, it was a dead card more often than not. Still experimenting, but I would also use Dark Deal just to refill my hand in bad situations.

So... the title informed me there would be some sort of combo?

Amazing. Maybe more Tasigur's Cruelty because of delve instead of Stubborn Denial, because only Tasigur, the Golden Fang counters it completely.
