looks like a solid deck to me! Actually the thought of facing it terrifies me. I think it'a in good shape even with the rotation!

I dot think you should run a playset of See the Unwritten because you don't get the 'when you cast' value. Also Embodiment of Spring I think should go for more mana dorks.

Might have to steal this for when I decide to make my eldrazi deck. Maaaaaaybe.

Might also want to consider using Frontier Bivouac in place of Lumbering Falls as well. They both come in tapped so having that extra mountain never hurts. Unless you were planning on making Lumbering Falls into the 3/3, which I don't think you need to with the power behind this deck already. All in all this looks like fun to play, and like hell to play against!

Id definitely add 2 more Shaman of Forgotten Ways, 3 mana for 2 more mana is really good. Also, Titan's Presence is great removal for this deck. Id cut Breaker of Armies, as it doesn't seem too powerful for 8 mana.

My thoughts on a good addition would be Woodland Wanderer Your deck can produce almost 5 different colors of mana and would allow you to have a 4 mana 4/4 to 6/6 with trample and vigilance. You can very easily Make your opponents regret attacking with their siege rhino's.

It's scary how quick those biggies could drop. +1

Pretty awesome looking. I'm playing Temur too! My list is different but there are some important similarities. Stay true to the Frontier Clan.

I think with standard as it is right now. Control and ramp are going to become the new big decks. Abzan will be up there but i think with the way the meta is moving those two will be the strongest post rotation decks. You might want to sideboard some anti Control Cards. im not sure what will help against that yet but i hope this can help you in some way.

I built a similar deck but without the full complement of blue cards. Mine also uses land ramper spells more than creature ramp. maybe add Gaea's Revenge and Plated Crusher to sideboard? Another sideboard idea would be to beef up the air defenses with Dragonlord Atarka and Crater's Claws.

September 21, 2015 7:40 p.m.

ohmless, those cards are pricey and cannot be fetched by Conduit of Ruin, which is a big no-no in this deck. I will however, consider Aerial Volley or something like it for the sideboard, as Mantis Rider is quite an annoying little bug.

Man take out Embodiment of Spring. It's a terrible card

September 22, 2015 12:26 p.m.

Leo7, my playtests suggest otherwise. It's a blocker that can ramp, and a 1 drop. What would you suggest replacing it with? Blisterpod? I can't think of any other 1 drops worth the slot.

Dreno33 says... #14

screw Breaker of Armies. you can do so much better than those 4x 8-drops.

I suggest adding 1 more ulamog, 2 From Beyonds, and then 1 Void Winnower.

your deck could definitely go for 1 Sanctum of Ugin. I would not count it as a land slot" though. Consider it a spell.

ignore my From Beyond suggestion, i was being blind. i would run a 4th See the Unwritten and add that Sanctum of Ugin

You don't need 1 drops. And embodiment of Spring isn't even a ramper

September 23, 2015 1:27 p.m.

Leo7, for obvious reasons, having a 1 drop has many advantages like tempo, having an early blocker etc. It is in fact a ramper, as when you have extra mana (which happens often), you can sacrifice him for a land.

Take out Embodiment of Spring, it is so bad.

Sgreenden thanks, I've been considering that, but Embodiment of Spring has been play testing really well.

Brutal Expulsion is on colour, and could be a neat sideboard card against control. Good synergy with Herald of Kozilek.

I had a Temur deck in standard. It does pretty well even though it has no 1 drops. And tbh a 1/1 blocker like Blisterpod would be better than a 0/3 blocker.

September 24, 2015 11:18 a.m.

Leo7, thanks, I'll consider Blisterpod after I see how it plays at the prerelease. I need a one- drop in this deck because I value speed, this deck wins by getting bigger and better creatures out faster than the opponent. Embodiment of Spring works well because you have more control over when the ramp happens, and because it makes permanent ramp, which is more valuable in this deck especially.

I do think that you could cut some Embodiment of Springs for another Shaman of the Forgotten Way or two.

While I appreciate your dedication to rampimentals, I would say that there is more power to be had behind him with Omnath, Locus of Rage.
