Made for the Pauper Modern format, where it's Pauper but with the Modern banlist (paupermodern.com). Suggestions welcome! (But they have to be Modern legal!)
Strategy
This deck is based on getting out
Impact Tremors
and/or
Hissing Iguanar
, then flooding the board with Eldrazi Spawn tokens to deal burn damage. To survive while you do this,
Fog
stops combat damage and
Essence Warden
provides a lot of lifegain, especially with multiples on the board.
Try to keep one at least Eldrazi Spawn on the board whenever possible. This allows for
Brood Birthing
to provide maximum value.
You can "chain" cast the Eldrazi spawners (
Nest Invader
,
Kozilek's Predator
,
Emrakul's Hatcher
) by sacrificing existing tokens and paying a color mana from land, then using the spawn from the ETB effect to play another spawner. These will all trigger
Impact Tremors
,
Hissing Iguanar
(for the spawn that were sacrificed), and
Essence Warden
.
When the board is filled with Eldrazi Spawn,
Massive Raid
will do massive damage, or
Distant Melody
can draw a ton of cards.
Opinions on Hand of Emrakul
It would seem that
Hand of Emrakul
would be ideal for this deck, but in testing I have found that it was rather lackluster. It was either dead in hand due to not having the four spawns out, or if I did have them it would have been better to use them for
Kozilek's Predator
or
Emrakul's Hatcher
instead to trigger
Essence Warden
,
Impact Tremors

Hissing Iguanar
(by sacrifice) and giving more power to
Massive Raid
,
Distant Melody
, and
Brood Birthing
.

Very important obviously. There are three token artworks, one for each lineage of Eldrazi titan.
