Bring 'em out to play.

There are huge elementals in existance. So huge, in fact, that they are typically unplayable because of their ridiculous mana costs. But what if, just maybe, we could get those bad boys and girls out on turn, oh let's say, four. Now we're talking.

The ideal situation is to start with something big in your hand. There are a few good options to start with. I prefer Supreme Exemplar, but we'll get to that in a bit. A good starting hand also includes Flamekin Harbinger and Smokebraider. Turn one, drop the Flamekin Harbinger and find a good looking Incandescent Soulstoke for next turn. Turn two, play your Smokebraider.

You will probably take some sort of hit to your life points between turns two and three, but we don't care. Here's why: Turn three, hard-cast a Brighthearth Banneret, then cast Incandescent Soulstoke using Smokebraider. You'll take another hit between turn three and four. Turn four, all the pieces are in play to dish out some serious pain. Activate Incandescent Soulstoke's ability to unleash whatever raw elemental behemoth you've been packing all game. If it's the Supreme Exemplar, you can have it "champion" Flamekin Harbinger, attack for 11 IN THE AIR, and bring back Flamekin Harbinger. You guessed it, this activates Flamekin Harbinger's ability to search for another big baddie! Or you could get a new Incandescent Soulstoke, since surely your opponent is trying to figure out how to get it off the board. Liege of the Tangle is definitely the MVP of the big guns, however, since he makes all your lands nasty 8/8 stompers. It should only be a few turns before your opponent succumbs to your massive elementals.

Crimson and Cerulean Wisps are helpful for playing multiple big guys in one turn or getting them out early. Also, if you are forcibly parted from your Soulstoke or can not play it for whatever reason, it shouldn't be that long before you can hard-cast any of the big hitters. Thank the combination of Brighthearth Banneret, Smokebraider, and Primal Beyond for that.
