"ELEPHANT SMASH!" 3rd At FNM

Standard* Aggro FNM RGW (Naya)

GeneticArtificer

Sideboard

I've currently been all over the place trying to find the standard deck that I can play without flaw. This deck is what I came up with. Also I understand cards like Voice of Resurgence would be good, but they're too expensive so it would be tough to get them. The goal of this deck is to start and end the game with a very aggressive field presence. Please +1 if you enjoy the deck. Thanks!

Overall, I'm glad with this deck's power. It was very easy to defeat my opponents, so here's my round breakdown:

  1. 2-0 Round one was against a fellow playing mono-white M14 stuff. It was filled to the brim with baddies such as Archangel of Thune, Fiendslayer Paladin, and Ajani, Caller of the Pride. This round wasn't too bad. In the first round he got caught on 3 mana, and with my sheer speed and strength, I took him down relatively easily. Overall though, I was confused by the deck: It didn't really have a straight winning path, oh well.

  2. 2-0 Round two was against a kid playing a black, white, and green life gain. It focused around using Oreskos Sunguide and a lot of late game beat-down. Frankly, my deck had more efficient creatures, and they were more powerful. For example, turn two he'd play a Oreskos Sunguide, and turn two I'd play a Loxodon Smiter. Originally this kid hadn't won his first round, but there was an odd number of people, so I was placed down.

  3. 1-2 This round was amazing. It was probably the most fun I'd had all night. He was playing a red white burn deck. It focused on Satyr Firedancer and Chandra's Phoenix. Game 1: I lost very fast due to the fact that he played two dancer's. This destroyed all of my creatures before I could attack. Game 2: This game was one by me due the awesome power of Fiendslayer Paladin. Every turn I would attack and then pump it. Game 3- It started off as a normal game, but towards the end things got crazy. I was at seven life, and I had a Fiendslayer Paladin and a Scavenging Ooze. I also had a pump spell in hand, and I was ready to jump back up to a safe life total. I swung, pumped up the ooze, and then he got priority... Skull Crack! This ruined my life gain and opened me up to two Chandra's Phoenix. Hopefully I'll do better next time!

  4. Shout out to TheBefuddledMagician for winning (1st place) and giving me some packs at the end. Thanks, man! Also to ClansInitiate, and Da_Necromancer for coming along. GO BLUE-WHITE!!!
