Absolutely agree with Sam_I_am... Summoner's Pact made my elf deck so much better.

@Sam_I_am I know about Elfball, and yes this deck has half of the cards. But it neither runs Beck to refill your hand from playing the one drops, nor does it have Summoner's Pact or Chord of Calling to get your combo pieces. (Although it does have Elvish Harbinger.)It lacks win-cons and thus the tempo to beat your opponent before he draws a response.Instead, as you said yourself, it runs those eight four-drops that aren't nearly as reliable.
Admittedly, you're screwed either way when your opponent destroys your manadorks.
But it seemed too risky in this deck to go that route without the tempo.

Beck is definetely instrumental in those sorts of decks. Those are more of elf combo decks that you like to run sam (which I'm a huge fan of). ;P

So what If i removed Nettle Sentinel , Elvish Promenade , Immaculate Magistrate , Llanowar Elves all together and added 2 more Forest and some other card that have been suggested?

Could someone explain how convoke works on Chord of Calling ? How does tapping a Elvish Mystic to cast it drop it 1 colorless if it's 3G and X?

Example board:
2 Elvish Mystic, 1 Elvish Visionary, 1 Talara's Battalion
2 Forests
You can tap out all 6 permanents, convoke for 3, and cast Chord of Calling for X = 3.

Convoke just says that you can tap a creature you control to reduce the spell by 1 colorless mana or one colored-mana of the creature's color (in the case of your elf-deck, this would always be green mana.).
In the case of the Elvish Mystic (assuming it was not summoning sick) you of course have the choice to tap it for Green mana (given its mana ability) or you may utilize it for "convoke" for either 1 colorless or one green mana. You may "convoke" the creature even if it is summoning sick, however.
In a way it's somewhat similar to Heritage Druid 's ability (as each creature can tap for one green/colorless mana) however they may only be tapped to create mana when casting Chord of Calling and you can tap any amount of them to "reduce" the spell by any number you wish (depending on which creature you wish to fetch).
An example would be if you had 7 elves on board 2 forests. You could tap 6 of the elves and both forests to "fetch" a creature with a converted mana cost of 5 and put it directly in play. The 6 elves would create 6 green mana while the forests would create 2...for a total of 8 (X=5).
I hope this helps.

I apologize. I did not realize iamacasual had already answered the question. Didn't mean to be repetitive :) Please feel free to delete my comments so as not to waste readers' time.

Glimpse of Nature over Elvish Visionary Or if it is to expensive try using Explore instead of the Visionary.

Perhaps make a copy of this deck and add in the modifications that people suggest. If you like how the new deck plays then edit the original and delete the copy. That's an easy way to test the card suggestions because ultimately, it comes down to whether you want the card in there or not.

Flareking99 That's actually exactly what I did

How does it do against a burn deck? I have an elf deck with a more rampy build, Battle Elves, With a Side of Infinity, that has major trouble with burn.

I have faced a burn deck but it wasn't anything great. Mono black has given me the best fight so far.

I love the consistency of this deck. Great job. Is Coat of Arms in modern? Because that seems like a deadly top deck when you can't find your Joraga Warcaller
February 28, 2014 11:41 p.m.
now im not that into modern so if this is completely out of the ball park let me know. but what about putting in Door of Destinies its like coat of arms but losing a creature doesn't hurt the counters already put on it keeping your elves buffed for longer in case the game is dragged out

im sorry didn't see the door in side board ignore me please

Hey um I think either Llanowar Elves or Elvish Mystic should be Arbor Elf , and I say that because if someone bolts your Elvish Mystic, you would usually float a mana in response, but then you only have access to that mana until the end of that phase. With arbor elf you untap your forest and can use it at any time. It's a small edge, but one that could make a difference in a game. Have fun!

Also, the Fade into Antiquity in the sideboard should probably be Beast Within in my opinion

To replace Immaculate, I suggest Llanowar Sentinel because thinning, ramp and damage :D

I like the idea. I love theme decks. Is it still undefeated 1v1?

Have you ever considered adding 1 or 2 Adaptive Automaton ?

Running 16 lands is perfectly normal for an elf deck.
If you don't believe me, just look at some of the lists that pros put together
People are correct in that 4-drops like Immaculate Magistrate and Elvish Promenade slow your deck down,
They also tend to run win-con creatures as 1-ofs such as Ezuri, Renegade Leader , Craterhoof Behemoth , and Regal Force , and they use Summoner's Pact to get them when they need them.
