This may be up in the comments already, but how do you handle the better burn decks? Things with Shock and Lightning Bolt that can burn smaller creatures out quickly? This is the problem I run into when I pit my sliver deck against a burn deck.

philly_eagleskid I have played a burn deck before and won, but it wasn't a great deck but he still slowed me down. It's something im working on though. Im currently trying to test out how Door of Destinies helps with that. Getting +1/+1 for each elf I play can render a Pyroclasm useless pretty quick.

Joraga Warcaller already helps a lot so you really only need something instant for the "surprise you wasted that"

Barkshell Blessing Is a really good fit for anti creature removal.

Honestly if you are looking for protection from minor board wipes the best bet is splashing white Rootborn Defenses saves the day.

Here are some ideas I think are a bit better

Sigil Blessing Gavony Township Builder's Blessing

landstalker10 The only issue with Barkshell Blessing is that I could only buff 2 creatures at most, But it's still an interesting card to consider.

Later in the game Joraga Warcaller will be your savorier and that will just be a minor buff on defending.

Again, splashing white for Rootborn Defenses is absolutely the best counter to board wipes IMO.

Honestly I would rebuild the sidebar to only target Burn decks. Literally take out 15 cards and put 15 new in. The only exception would be maybe 4 Savage Summoning . That Leyline of Lifeforce is a nice card for other decks. You are running low mana rush. You have to keep that in mind. You have to have dorks on the field to cast it. Any good control, burn or combo will eat you before that is really effective.

Keep your side to 1 to 3 drops tops. Seriously you know your deck more than I do and I can honestly tell you from experience; early game card removal is what kills rush, not turn 3. Turns 4-6 are late game for you.

Btw, do not dismiss the Savage Summoning, it combos with your Jorga, and again he is your counter to burn wipes.

3 elves + Elvish Archdruid + Umbral Mantle = infinite mana

landstalker10 The only thing with Savage Summoning is that it will mostly be a dead draw to me. It only works with Joraga Warcaller

Savage Summoning makes it flash. People forget how powerful that is. And, again its sided in for anti control decks. For ever green rush deck this card makes sense.

Hey! Really cool deck, +1 from me!But you are talking about CONSTANT t3 wins and undefeated 1v1, but is that also against good competitive modern decks from FNM? It would definately be nice if you would write the possible turn 3 win(s) and how to drop the hand on t2.

Just speaking from the corner over here but could you revamp the description too?

I'm not sure if this is meant for competitive Modern play, but if so the sideboard needs a lot of work. You need some hate cards like Leyline of Sanctity for decks that use Thoughtseize and value cards like Engineered Explosives to wipe the board against decks like Affinity and to finally be able to kill those stupid Slippery Bogle s. Nature's Claim will help you out against Pod, Twin, and Affinity, three of the top decks in the format. You'll probably need some graveyard hate against Rock decks, Jund, Living End, so on and so forth, so Wheel of Sun and Moon is a personal favorite of mine, and a lot of people gravitate towards Leyline of the Void . Tormod's Crypt and Relic of Progenitus . The crypt/relic may actually be better against Pod because it makes it to where they can't pod their creature back out, but the Wheel isn't a one shot thing, so it is whatever you prefer. I would probably run one copy of Boseiju, Who Shelters All in either the mainboard or sideboard, because having your massive Genesis Wave you've been working towards all turn eat a Mana Leak is just disheartening. That being said, Cavern of Souls wouldn't be a bad 1-of either, but that is entirely up to you. Given that you're a combo-ish deck that revolves around tribal synergy, you have options like that card that would make other combo decks blush. I usually prefer at least 1 copy of Sword of Fire and Ice in Modern, just because UR is the most common color combination, and Electrolyze would be a beating for this deck.

Sorry for the absence everyone! I just bought a house so this past week has been really hectic.

Flareking99 I will get tot he description as soon as I have enough time to do it properly.

corythackston Thank you for the in depth suggestion! I really hate this sideboard, so you're not wrong at all. Im curious though. If you had to sculpt the sideboard yourself what would you suggest?

also, Viridian Joiner works really good with Umbral Mantle .. or, if you need it, Sword of the Paruns works just as well on Elvish Archdruid ...

I run a few Asceticism , Elvish Harbinger and Jagged-Scar Archers as well

Honestly, what is showing for this deck right now is not what I have in real life. I got bored of this deck and have actually moved onto a couple of my other deck Heroic Insanity (Need sideboard help!) and Assisted Suicide

I'm going to guess "James Mason" is actually "James Nelson". Since Jim is a nickname for James, most people sign their legal name, "Jim Nelson" is the artist, and the only people I am aware of signing cards are the artist.

That's what I thought! Im guessing that Mason may be his middle name. Either way still strange that he wouldnt sign his "illustrated" name.
