While I do not play Standard, your deck seems a lot more cool than most of the decks that seem to be dominating Standard right now.

Have you ever considered using signal the clans?
December 18, 2013 8:21 a.m.
Yes but Signal the Clans is too random and doesn't help me if I need Triton Tactics

This works? Honestly thats hilarious man I got to try this!

thEnd3000 Thanks, thats one of the main reasons (along with the nice price-tag) that I have this deck.
Hellogoodbye2yu Thanks for the +1, I really like unique deck ideas (I had a full suite of cipher decks (you know, Trait Doctoring ) back when Invisible Stalker was standard and some form of them has survived with Theros)
DovahWalrus This does work XD its also extremely hilarious to pull off against people that don't understand it G1

Well I just built it and im going to test it, I sadly wont play it at tonight FNM as im going to test my own deck Sanguine Gary ( 3-1 At FNM ), but I am most definitely using this against my friends and probably at next fnm for fun!

DovahWalrus You may want to check your build.. I just changed my removal suite to be more effective

The deck needs shock lands without them it is kaput
December 24, 2013 2:47 p.m.
Yes it would definitely be better with shocklands however it functions with guildgates just fine. I can see a lot of times when I would choose to have the shockland enter tapped anyway and in the interest of budget, this can do without them.

This is meant to be budget, thats why shocklands arent in. Also playtested this thing and its hilarioussss
December 24, 2013 5:04 p.m.
DovahWalrus hilarious as in, how well it works? And yes, thats exactly why shocklands aren't in it.

DovahWalrus says... #16
yes how well it works, It has enough control so you can get the combo off, in fact at first I kept doing it then my friend said "woah woah wait wait, I am going to doomblade that...." after he realized I had dealt 9 damage to him XD
December 24, 2013 10:19 p.m.
Thats awesome! I hope you had a Mizzium Skin or Simic Charm or (my personal favorite) Triton Tactics in hand (You stack the combo on top of the kill spell so when you finally let it resolve, you just won)

this deck is so dumb its fun and the best part is it works lol, debating whether i should use my deck Sanguine Gary ( First place At FNM ) or this one at fnm.
December 26, 2013 5:40 p.m.
Well the fun part is how cheap this is... If you want to take it to FNM and you happen to have any of the correct scry/shock lands laying around you could take it with an improved mana base and tell me what happens. XD

So I am still debating whether to use this at fnm, but my version of this deck uses more control, and I can throw in the shocklands. I dont think I will use simply because I am trying to see if my mono black deck can get first place again.

..i love infinite combos! +1 for that. I run one in my deck too: Borzhov (Insta-Kill/Infinity-Loop)

I'm not sure if you want to sacrifice your control spells for these, but a similar infinite damage combo can be achieved sans Zhur-Taa Druid with any mana dork and Guttersnipe . If that dork happens to be a Voyaging Satyr , you can also do infinite mana with Verdant Haven , but of course that would require you to have some way to use infinite mana as well..
Here's my similar deck, which is admittedly less focused on being competitive and more focused on maxing out infinite combo possibilities: So...Many...Infinite Combos...Wtf]

Also, you might consider Naturalize over Fade into Antiquity so you can hit D-Spheres or Chained to the Rocks at instant speed for cheaper; the only real downside is not hitting Gods.
January 15, 2014 7:54 a.m.
ChrisHansonBiomancin I've tried the other combos out before and decided to simply focus on this one. No matter what the other combos are, I still need to have both Elite Arcanist and Triton Tactics so I took out all the other combos to put in survival spells. As for Naturalize over Fade into Antiquity , while instant speed is really nice, the Fade hits gods which is really important (And I expect to be even more important when BNG comes out) and since I don't have much in my 3-drop spot it doesn't clutter my curve that much.

I'm currently all for Thoughtflare but I do like the idea of mixing and matching Simic Charm with Mizzium Skin I'll probably add that to this deck soon
