the Archon isn't that good, and honestly just way too high cmc. Search Warrant isn't better than anything I currently have, so not sure what I would take out. The Dramatic Rescue I will definitely consider in place of the Voyage's End .

I'd stick to Voyage's End . The lifegain is kinda nice from Dramatic Rescue but the scry can probably do more useful stuff helping with consistency.

I definitely like the scry. But I have the Thassa, God of the Sea in there for that. So I'll see. A little life gain is always nice to prolong games.

Love the deck +1 from me. You should consider one Tamiyo, the Moon Sage for extra annoyance instead of one Jace.

Render Silent would definitely work well with this deck

I did consider it, but the thing with Render Silent is that, more often than not, its just a counter. And as far as counters, I'd rather have the Dissolve because it's more flexible cmc wise and it lets me scry, which is huge in a control deck. If its late game and my opponent is casting multiple big spells in a turn, I hopefully have the Silence /Elite Arcanist combo working.

you could always go mainstream and play Sphinx's Revelation which is more of a mainboard card but I'm not sure what I'd sideboad besides things like what I mentioned earlier or Essence Scatter and Negate

I know this deck doesn't have green, but it makes me want to build this Silence / Elite Arcanist combo with a Prophet of Kruphix ... lolz.

There are a lot of builds that would be awesome with a Prophet of Kruphix . Such a fun card.

AEtherize for your sideboard, or mainboard if aggro decks are the meta at your FNM

I'm trying to get a hold of a couple Cyclonic Rift and maybe another Supreme Verdict . But in the mean time I may add AEtherize , at least as a sideboard for aggro.

Have you considered using Hidden Strings ? That way you can keep using Elite Arcanist and constantly silence your opponent to death.

With the Elite Arcanist and Silence , I'm already able to Silence them on their turn every turn. I suppose they can still play instants or creatures with flash during my turn, but that's partially what I have all the counter spells in for. They help me control the board until I can reach the combo, and then help me maintain the status quo once the combo goes off. Adding the Hidden Strings just feels too clunky to me. I'd have to put in 2 or 3 at least to get them consistently, and I think I'd rather have the counter spells filling those slots.

a card that comes to mind that fits into your deck idea is Render Silent . I really think that card could help, and fits in here perfectly. also maybe a gate or two to help with mana, if you take my advice on the Render Silent , considering the costs are gonna get a little tougher after that adjustment.

Well you don't have to exile Silence for Elite Arcanist . you can do what xenith4127 suggested and add Render Silent so that can be used to constantly counter and silence. Although I think that combo is quite difficult to pull off in the first place.
