Thinking about Commander's Authority and Champion of the Parish ... would they work in here, and if so what would you take out to put them in (and are they still legal)?

Would Commander's Authority trigger the +1/+1 of Door of Destinies and/or Champion of the Parish ?

(also considering including Soldier of the Pantheon - though it looks like it may be difficult getting hold of a copy)

Commander's Authority does not add counters to Door of Destinies because it's not a human spell. It would add to champion of parishes counters and if door of destinies has counters on it for humans then your human token benefits from the counters on door of destinies.

Two other notes, Elsperth's +1 is 3 soldier tokens, they would not pump up if door of destinies is getting counters for humans.

Champion of the Parish has cycled out.

Fiendslayer Paladin and Dawnstrike Paladin out as not soldiers, and Phantom General in to pump the tokens

I guess Im kinda confused on why you have Chained to the Rocks in your sideboard because you need to enchant a mountain you control...and you only have plains...

You also do not need 30 land. You can probably get away with just having 20-24I would -1 Door of Destinies -3 Phantom General -3 Sundering Growth (put those in sideboard)-1 Banisher Priest -1 Fencing Ace You could try that...Im not sure just a start, I was doing the math in my head and if you cut down to 24 lands, and cut everything as shown above you will be at 60 cards. But I suggest going down to 20 lands. I would do every thing the same as above but take out completely Banisher Priest and Fencing Ace .

Thanks aaronmaxey - I hadn't noticed that Chained to the Rocks was for Mountains only! I'll take that out. Re the land, i tried to keep to the 40% land but you are likely right that I don't need that much. The Sundering Growth is in because ratchet bomb will otherwise become a huge nuisance, and lots of the people I play on FNM have this in their decks, but I'll update the deck following the rest of your advice when the last few cards arrive. Thanks again :)

New Q... which fits into this deck better, Imposing Sovereign or Blind Obedience ...

Blind Obedience because its an enchantment and to me they are a little harder to get rid of and plus if you are casting something and you got extra mana why not Extort!
