NotSquishedYet, hey thanks for the suggestions and great interactions. I hadn't thought of any of them. Beastcaller Savant will more than likely be a core card in any Elf deck. Lets hope we get a new mana Elf in Kaladesh.
I haven't really dove deep into the great interactions with cards yet still waiting for the full set to be revealed before doing that. Mostly because I think we will get a new Elf lord in Kaladesh. In fact I think we have a picture of him in the Discover Kaladesh site. Architect of the Untamed was the first Elf revealed at PAX West there has to be more Elves that make or care about energy. It just makes sense because the Elves are connected to the aether. A few simple synergies that I've found so far are:
- Aether Hub with Skyrider Elf
- Rashmi, Eternities Crafter with Unsubstantiate
- Sylvan Advocate with Smuggler's Copter
I've always liked Skyrider Elf I think it's a powerful card. He doesn't work with Collected Company is why I haven't really used him. With Company rotating and Simic with real potential because of Rashmi and Beastcaller Savant looking like a core card maybe it's his time to shine?

I'm afraid I don't get the Sylvan Advocate + Smuggler's Copter interaction, but yes, there are many fun ones already. I had not heard anything about a new Elf lord, but I am now quite interested in it. Glad to be of help!

NotSquishedYet, In the early game being able to attack with Sylvan Advocate and because Advocate has vigilance use him to activate crew 1 of Smuggler's Copter to block since Copter's ability triggers when you also block with him. Simple yet could be effective.
Nothing has been said about a new Elf lord I was just making the assumption that we might get one and his name is Himmat.

I certainly think this deck could make use of Rashmi, Eternities Crafter, Cultivator of Blades, Armorcraft Judge, Verdurous Gearhulk, and Architect of the Untamed. Then there's Tireless Tracker as well as Nissa, Vital Force. It will be interesting to see what is done with all of these new cards.
I would love to have a deck like this, although I'm afraid I have too many current standard decks and ones I still want to make.

Delta-117, There's so many great options already, but I'm still eagerly waiting for the full set to be revealed so I can get to brewing! That's definitely a problem when a huge rotation and new set enters Standard there are way too many new potential decks that I want to make, but I can't make them all. I figure I will just wait to see what other Elves are in Kaladesh before deciding if Elves have enough support to be a real deck or move on to a new deck. I really like your Green/Red Energy deck I think it has real potential.

The Kaladesh Consulate has bestowed an important award on Himmat Neela (Elf), winner of the Animal Constructs: Miniatures Division...

Hey CloudThumper, I thought Himmat Neela might be an important Elf maybe even a new Elf lord in Kaladesh, but as it's turned out his card is a limited fodder common. It's safe to say that I'm very disappointed.
Highspire Artisan is the card that's using the art of him which is also the art in the story you posted as well as the art in the Discover Kaladesh site.

Oh mama look at all these elves. The brews have already begun. Can't wait to read what you have to say about the entire set.

hey codach, Kaladesh is sure exciting. The brews have definitely begun! Look for my update review of Kaladesh sometime this weekend. I'm only going to write about how Kaladesh will effect and change this deck and not about the entire set like my last Eldrich Moon wrapup review. That review was different because there was not much other than emerge including no Elves in the set to write about. Since Kaladesh does have Elves I will write about them and other cards which can support them. There's a lot to talk about moving forward because of the huge rotation that's happening when Kaladash enters Standard. It completely kills the current version of this deck. Which means a complete overhaul has to happen.
Here's a preview:
"I've already updated this deck including changing the name which is no longer Rite Elves, but now Energy Elves. I've jumped the gun a little in choosing a new direction so soon without much playtesting because the entire old version completely rotates out. For the purposes of discussion I want to present a starting deck list early. Even though I've already updated, the new energy direction is not final. I'm just using it for now.
Elves as a complete tribe are dead in Standard because there's no pay off card for wanting to be using Elves. There's no Elf lord or Shaman of the Pack equivalent in Kaladesh. Decks in Standard like this one now have Elves, but there's no reason to use nothing but Elves.
Other than energy I see many other strong potential new directions this deck can go. +1/+1 counters strategy has real potential with Kujar Seedsculptor, Skyrider Elf, Sylvan Advocate, Nissa, Voice of Zendikar, Peema Outrider, Armorcraft Judge, Cultivator of Blades, Verdurous Gearhulk, Animation Module and Durable Handicraft.
Vehicles with fabricate are another potential strategy with Smuggler's Copter, Renegade Freighter, Fleetwheel Cruiser, Sylvan Advocate, Speedway Fanatic, Oviya Pashiri, Sage Lifecrafter, Pia Nalaar, Peema Outrider and Cultivator of Blades.
Most of my time today when I got home was spent trying to make a Temur colored deck with Rashmi, Eternities Crafter, Jori En, Ruin Diver and Aether Theorist work with other 2 drop, 3 drops Elves, other creatures and Elder Deep-Fiend. Rashmi and Jori have great synergy. Rashmi is very good with emerge and scry. I was unsuccessful with finding a right mix of creatures and instants. No Elves have flash in this set or in Standard and no enchantment or creature can give them flash. Instants are great with Rashmi letting me use her ability on my opponent's turn. The spells that were working the best are Harnessed Lightning, Unsubstantiate and Glimmer of Genius.
One of the biggest omissions from any of these possible new strategies is Cryptolith Rite. I don't right away see a proper shell of a deck that can use Rite with Elves. It might work with fabricate, but the best fabricate Elves have higher casting costs. There are no 1 drop, 2 drop Elves with fabricate which Rite really wants. Rite doesn't really work with energy either as I need other spells not just creatures to make energy which is not part of a Rite game plan. Rite could have potential with +1/+1 counters because of Nissa, Voice of Zendikar, but I don't see a need for it. Shaman of the Pack is really what made a strategy with Rite work because I wanted to be filling the battlefield with Elves which was best for both of them."

multimedia, Both of those decks look extremely fun to play. I'm a big tribal guy and it's a shame "tribal" elves are kinda dead. At least we get to play with elves though. On the brightside it doesn't really limit us to only elves now. We have a lot more options.
What I was also looking into was tribal dwarves. It would be the perfect deck to use all of the powerful vehicles that you mentioned. I'm not sure if you're into non-elf tribal decks, but if you are i'd recommend you check em out.
For the +1/+1 counter deck, I wonder if something like Drana, Liberator of Malakir would be a good addition. Regardless, I'm excited to see Skyrider Elf make it back into the decks. That card is hilariously fun to play with.
Both the energy and counter decks seem very viable. I'm going to be heavily play testing my own versions of the two to determine which route to take and focus on.

codach, good luck with your brewing let me know what's working and not working. Skyrider Elf is fun while also being very versatile, able to play him as 2/2 flyer all the way up to a 5/5 flyer. I've found him to be a great creature with an energy strategy because of both Aether Hub and Servant of the Conduit can make him powerful. He could be an interesting bridge between using both energy and counters as a mesh of strategies in the same deck because he's good with both.
The card I'm heavily playtesting right now is Empyreal Voyager. If left alive he is so good making energy. He could also be good with counters because he has flying and trample. He goes in both decks. I'm particularly liking Verdurous Gearhulk with him. Being able to pump up to four counters on him makes him really scary and a huge energy producer if he does combat damage.
Give Drana, Liberator of Malakir a try. The problem I have always had with using her is her double black casting cost. Which is at odds with Nissa, Voice of Zendikar who is double green which is much easier to cast, both are 3 drops with double colored costs.
I'm for sure into other tribes other than Elves. Boros Dwarves do look really interesting with Vehicles. Dimir Aetherborn with artifacts including Vehicles also looks promising. I'm a fan of Aetherborn they're really interesting creatures and have great lore. If Elves don't work out I will most likely try to make them work. Making a deck with Elves in it work in Standard is right now my Magic priority.

i really love this deck and the elves, thank you for your brewing, you save players that love elves. i thnk you could try Deadlock Trap, it could be very good in a deck like this

Hey Pietro95, thanks so much.
Deadlock Trap is a great suggestion, thanks. I'll put it in the sideboard. The card seems pretty powerful since it only costs one to use it's ability. For that one It can shut down either Chandra, Torch of Defiance or Nissa, Vital Force which might be important in KLD Standard. It's only drawback is it comes into play tapped and at is really too slow in aggro matchups this is why I hesitate to make it a main deck card.

This deck looks like it wants evolving wilds but thats just my two cents
September 21, 2016 3:22 p.m.
Do you need to upgrade your account to do that background stuff?
September 22, 2016 12:53 a.m.

ccmaci, yes you need to upgrade to custom design your deck page. Upgrading lets your deck page see both the link HTML tag which is used to link external CSS and the style HTML which lets you add other styles. It also lets you add script HTML tags which I'm using for the "Go to Comments" and "Back to Top" buttons on the right side of the screen.

togetheralone12, I'm not a fan of Evolving Wilds when using so many 2 drops. Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm already using 12 lands which can come into play tapped. Cutting any Fast lands for Wilds doesn't seem good and I don't want to cut any more Basic lands. Aether Hub is really acting as Wilds in this deck. If you can make a manabase work with Wilds and Hub that lets me cast my 2 drop mana Elves turn two consistently I would be very interested in seeing it.

I like the new direction. Also a big fan of Converge in this scenario. Woodland Wanderer and Skyrider Elf, with Cryptolith Rite, were excellent in my previous elf deck. I think your energy and ramp plan is better than Rite this time.
Last night, listening to the discussion amongst regulars at my FNM, I heard a lot of interest in control for the new set. Given the positive nature of the new set, those decks should just not win. So card draw like Live Fast could be very important. Nissa, Vital Force also seems very good, as her ultimate is easy to reach. I wonder if Demon of Dark Schemes could be a great sideboard option. The Gearhulks are going to kill a bunch of things, but perhaps the game will end when they do. Hope it goes well.

Hey CloudThumper, thanks.
I'm happy with the ramp strategy so far except when I draw a ton of mana Elves and not a single creature to use the ramp, haha. Live Fast is a great card for energy, but the life lose is kind of risky with all the aggro right now, Gruul Energy and Boros Dwarves/Vehicles can do tons of damage fast.
I don't see a place for Cryptolith Rite with Elves right now. Weaponcraft Enthusiast has some potential, maybe in a Golgari shell, but I haven't had time to really playtest him yet.
I so agree with you about Nissa, Vital Force. Although I haven't really playtested with her yet either. I think she is a great card, one of the best in the set, but I don't see how she fits with Elves. She shares the same mana cost as Verdurous Gearhulk who is so good with all the 2 drop Elves. What are your thoughts on how she can fit?
If GW Tokens becomes big in Standard again or Servos and Thopters also then Demon of Dark Schemes does sound like an excellent sideboard card. Because he's a board wipe he's however really bad with Elves.
What are your thoughts on Aethersquall Ancient as a creature for energy ramp?
September 28, 2016 1:45 a.m.
I love the card Aethersquall Ancient. I used it in 2/3 of my prereleases. I even went and equipped a Sword of Feast and Famine to it and attacked in one of my games. With my untapped mana I used a Tidy Conclusion while having a Metallurgic Summonings out. I went 2-0, in all 3 of my games due to the great cards I got.

Delta-117, that all sounds like great fun, good job at your prereleases. Equipping a Sword of Feast and Famine to a Aethersquall Ancient, haha that's too funny. Have you used Ancient in a Standard setting or just limited?
September 28, 2016 3:40 p.m.
Just limited so far, although as a 1-2x of it can be good in certain decks I believe.
NotSquishedYet says... #1
Some things you may or may not have realized based on a skim of your latest update:
Verdurous Gearhulk makes a beautiful combo with Cultivator of Blades and Beastcaller Savant, allowing for Beastcaller to land a 3-4 drop on turn 3, followed by a Cultivator turn 4 and a Gearhulk turn 5. This means that on turn 5 you have untapped and without summoning sickness: 1-2 creatures from turn 3, 2 servo tokens, and a Cultivator of Blades with 4 counters on it if you so choose. Swings for 26+ by turn 5 are not to be sniffed at, in Standard.
Rashmi, Eternities Crafter works particularly well with emerge creatures like Lashweed Lurker. With Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen rotating when Kaladesh comes in, there may be less need to focus on the Elf tribal. Beastcaller Savant can drop a turn 3 Rashmi, Eternities Crafter, and be tapped and sacrificed to cast Lashweed Lurker on turn 4 for a bounce, 8-mana cascade (perhaps into Verdurous Gearhulk or Cultivator of Blades) or extra draw, a value engine ready to be used, and a 5/4.
Depending on how reliable Aether Hub is or how splashable a color is, I noted that Oath of Gideon into Nissa, Vital Force allows for a same-turn ultimate if your opponent is removing planeswalkers too fast and you need a way to quickly stabilize.
