Elvish Green Devotion Mana Ramp with Extra Eldrazi

Modern Devotion Eldrazi Midrange Mono-Green Ramp

m.j.m.p.email

This deck, as evidenced by the title, seems to be somewhat split. However, it actually works quite well. Early game, it uses elves for mana ramp. Later on, it pulls out powerful devotion creatures to crush the opponent. Early game, the deck's strategy revolves around Elvish Mystic and Lllanowar Elves. Soon (like second turn), it begins to pull out creatures such as Omnath, Locus of Mana, Elvish Archdruid, and Karametra's Acolyte for insanely fast mana gain. Elvish Piper plays an important role by allowing you to get out your largest creatures very quickly and cheaply, freeing up lots of mana and enabling you to get out an Eldrazi even faster. Later in the game, your most important creatures besides Emrakul will be Primalcrux and Khani Hydra, which combo well together and the devotion aspect works well with Karametra's Acolyte and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx. Cloudthresher deals with pesky flyers and can be used as a surprise blocker. Nylea, God of the Hunt and Nissa Worldwaker are both important cards. Nissa can provide a huge boost to your mana and this deck is great at defending planeswalkers. A 6/6 God can often mean the difference between victory and defeat. With creatures this big, trample can be a giant help and it's mana ability can save one of your smaller, mana giving Elves. Ezuri, Renegade Leader will definitely be useful. It can enable some powerful early attacks and will also help preserve your precious mana-makers.

A note on playing this deck, Elvish Mystic is an insanely important early game card, as is Lllanowar Elves. If you don't have one of them in your hand you may want to mulligan.
