Standard budget elves for BFZ. The deck has good match-ups against a lot of decks in standard. It seems like, with the right draws, I can get around pretty much anything. Hard match-ups are control with lots of creature hate and aggro with lots of life gain. Usually I can overrun the B/W allies decks though. Mulligans are very important in this deck because you need that balance between having a base to build upon and having a path to your win cons. Drana, Liberator of Malakir is probably one of the best cards in the deck for building a sustainable board and lets us get in surprise damage against people that don't understand exactly how her ability works. Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen works as a slightly chunkier version of Drana, Liberator of Malakir. Both are good in different situations, although I end up siding out Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen over Drana, Liberator of Malakir in almost every match-up. Tajuru Warcaller can give us a wide swing and help us in mirrors and other aggro match-ups and with good planing we can get Tajuru Warcaller +Beastcaller Savant out in the same turn and swing for even more. We use Sylvan Messenger to help reload our hands and cycle our deck. Generally if we have enough mana production to cast Sylvan Messenger we don't really want to draw land so putting it on the bottom of the deck is great, and we don't have any tutor effects so we don't have to worry about everything getting shuffled back out of place. We have access to a couple of combos with Temur Sabertooth+Shaman of the Pack to give us a bunch of extra reach, Temur Sabertooth+Dwynen's Elite to generate more elves, and Temur Sabertooth+ Sylvan Messenger for additional cycling. Gnarlroot Trapper and Beastcaller Savant are our mana dorks and are crucial for getting our elves onto the field and still leave mana up for our non-elf spells. Foul-Tongue Shriek gives us reach and the ability to close the game quickly. A swing with four 1/1's and two Foul-Tongue Shriek can end the game pretty quickly. Might of the Masses and Become Immense can also let us sneak some big damage through. Our sideboard is filled with removal for different situations.
