That's understandable, no worries that would just be the best land base, if you cant get the fetches you can always, just x3 of each land instead :)

Shane.Allen so I have two options.

Option 1=1x Blightsteel colossus 2x wurmcoil engine3x Spell Pierce 1x gitaxian Probe 2X Serum Visions 1X chromatic lantern

Option 2=3x Spell Pierce 1x gitaxian Probe 2X Serum Visions 1X chromatic lantern 3X breeding Pool 1X wurmcoil engine

Option two sounds much better, I think that will play good and its enough to keep your damage / life going at a regular pace. Make sure to playtest it and see that your getting what you need in terms of draw and damage out put.

Shane.Allen what if I drop the breeding grounds (for now due to money) and add Summoner's Pact?

Shane.Allen says... #5

Retile1234 I like that because you can instant cast it end of turn and then drop your fatty, right after whichever one you need for the situation. and I have nothing against going with basics at all.

What would I take out of it? Shane.Allen and thank you so much for your time

I really like the way the deck is looking right now. Here's my only problems with it:

  1. Take out the 3 Chromatic Lantern for 3 Explore.

  2. Please take out the last 2 Prince of Thralls, it's not a game finisher, it's not a game ender, and add 1 Griselbrand and 1 Wurmcoil Engine.

You would then have a deck that is like a green UrzaTron but faster and I think maybe more consistent.

ok so whaT looking at os 2Wurmcoil Engine, 3 Explore, 2Spell Pierce, 1Gitaxian Probe, 2Serum Visions, and finally 2 Summoner's Pact. i already own a Griselbrand so that will work. Where should i put the Summoner's Pact? Shane.Allen

Shane.Allen says... #9

You only need 3 Wurmcoil Engine not 4, so take one of them out and put in 1 Summoner's Pact, besides that the deck looks really good. Then you have one in MB and one in SB.

Retile1234 says... #10

sorry one Summoner's Pact in MB and SB or Wurmcoil Engine? Shane.Allen

what is your opinion of Lurking Predators?

August 16, 2016 5:46 p.m.

Shane.Allen says... #12

3 Wurmcoil Engine in the mainboard, not 4. Take out the fourth Wurmcoil Engine and replace it with 1 Summoner's Pact. Keep 1 Summoner's Pact in your sideboard along with the other Wurmcoil.

I like Lurking Predators, but only as an EDH card, it is way too expensive anywhere outside of EDH.

Shane.Allen what do you think of Sleight of Hand instead of Serum Visions?

August 16, 2016 9:44 p.m.

Shane.Allen says... #14

I like Sleight of Hand, I think it is a good card, all you really want is the draw and the but cards you don't need on the bottom.

August 16, 2016 11:49 p.m.

Shane.Allen says... #15

You can have a sideboard of up to 15 cards now, so that's 5 more options for you to consider. Some cards I think you should do are Pulse of Murasa, Emrakul, the Promised End, Sigarda, Host of Herons and Dragonlord Atarka are great creatures to grab versus certain decks.

Shane.Allen so I went to modern at my store last night and got beat by W/U control and also Mono red aggro. But later in the night I beat a vampire deck and a W/U control that was different. 4-4 Win/Loss ratio

August 27, 2016 11:11 a.m.

Shane.Allen says... #18

Retile1234 Awwwwww, well that was still good, Because you know with the right hand and good play you can beat W/U control, red aggro will always be tough cause of the speed, kind of like burn. I think you did good :)

Shane.Allen what do you think about Time of Need and Summoner's Egg?

August 27, 2016 11:45 a.m.

Shane.Allen says... #20

Retile1234 I think time in need would be good cause you could get just what you need for the given game, the other card is to expensive for you current deck build.

Retile1234 says... #21

Shane.Allen I thought Summoner's Egg is basically a creature form of Quicksilver Amulet with a little draw back, and it's only a dollar

verynice47 says... #22

Gitaxian Probe is a strictly better Peek.

August 30, 2016 7:07 p.m.

Clockwurk says... #23

Retile1234 he meant the egg is too expensive mana-wise, which it is, it is also too slow. Good deck.

August 31, 2016 6:52 p.m.

Retile1234 says... #24

Clockwurk wouldn't it be a good sideboard option for any artifact hate? Because game one they could shut down the quicksilver amulet and expect it next game, but if I threw in the egg it would open up a chump blocker that could hold back any attackers who wouldn't want to bring a big baddy out.

August 31, 2016 10:24 p.m.

Clockwurk says... #25

That's very true. Your 2x in the sb should work well for that.
