Memory Jar and Magus of the Jar are both pretty good too. Check out Psycho Draw for more ideas.

Might want to take out notion thief its counterproductive to your commander wanting people to draw cards. And if any opponent has a consecrated sphinx they can mill you.

I'm aware of the drawbacks with Notion Thief . Nevertheless, I firmly believe his positive side far outweighs his negatives. Sometimes its better to draw a lot of cards and don't let my opponents draw any. Making everyone pitch their hands then I draw a pile of cards is extremely powerful.

As for the Consecrated Sphinx problem, all I have to do is draw an instant removal spell and blast the Sphinx. Problem solved.

And then let's not forget Teferi's Puzzle Box , which locks them out of ever having a hand again. Notion Thief is an all-star. Better to just play around his drawbacks.

Nin, the Pain Artist would find a home in any Nekusar, the Mindrazer deck I would imagine.

I had Nin in there for a bit, but she tended to feel low impact. I imagine that as the deck develops, she'll probably make her way in and out a few more times before there's a verdict on her.

How has Dream Halls panned out? That card gives me the heebie jeebies, but it also seems extremely fun.

I've never played it unless I played Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir first, and I don't intend to.

If you want your friends really to hate you, try Omniscience . You empty your hand? Hand reset! again and again and again, until you have enough enchantments and artifacts to win.

Personally I run Sangromancer as well, with all that crazy discard!!

I like the list. Trying to build Nekusar myself, with a few instances to give him or another pain creature infect and win the game on two quick wheels if need be. What are your thoughts on Dictate of Kruphix ? While it comes down a turn later than Howling Mine , the flash allows you to get the draw value out of it first.

@Madoka: That's what Dream Halls is for, with a slight drawback but at a fraction of the cost.

You'll like this idea Stolen Identity On the Puzzle box and then encode it onto a fun creature and do it again, For each time Puzzle box was hit with Stolen Identity you do the effects again

I love a good Nekusar deck +1. Looking over your list I couldn't believe I didn't have Price of Knowledge in mine!

Nice list!

I'd like to recommend Library of Leng if you're interested. Never have to worry about losing cards you want to a wheel, and the unlimited hand size is neat, too.

Thanks! I think Library of Leng would probably be a good addition. I've thought about Scroll Rack for the same reason, but Library of Leng would probably be better.

Hive Mind. It's just so damned good in Nekusar. When you Wheel, everybody wheels, just like that. It's a lot more capable of killing your opponents than Price of Knowledge, in any event.

And because you've done it to other people, I now do it to you too: Check out my deck lol

Sigil of Sleep and Basilisk Collar will be your friends forever lol. They work on both Nekusar and Niv-Mizzet. I find that Price of Knowledge is too much mana for a very slow effect, and you can't use seven mana better elsewhere. Fevered Visions just seems weak overall.

Cde0 says... #24

My experience is that when I cast Price of Knowledge, nine out of ten times my opponents then proceed to die in turn order. I use it at another win-con after they've soaked up a good bit of damage. Fevered Visions is being tested. So far it seems better than Howling Mine, since I'm first to draw off of it and it does a Iron Maiden impression. I'm pretty happy with it in my Howling Mine/Underworld Dreams deck.

June 14, 2016 10:30 a.m.

I actually thought that Fevered Visions was a little lackluster in the deck, so that's why I ended up cutting it from my list. Though since you're running way more Howling Mine effects than me, it might work out for you.

I'd suggest a Trinket Mage as a sort of land fixer/ramp package. You'd be surprised how often having a tutor for Ring/Vault or an artifact land helps.

Also, have you ever considered Forced Fruition? >:)
