So... I might sound strange, but this started off not as a Lone Rider   deck nor a Tainted Remedy deck, but rather as the N-th attempt to find the best shell for Cryptolith Fragment  . The reach is there, but it doesn't fit a burn/aggro deck since it's more like a ramp spell...

Accursed Witch was part of the Tainted Remedy package, with Alms of the Vein also targetting players, but I eventually decided that it was too going too deep. The card's just too expensive for what it does.

I'm still not sold on the Tainted Remedy + Tree of Redemption combo, but the tree is an amazing blocker on it's own anyways. Tree into Languish+tap puts the opponent at 9!

The non-bo of Languish and Lone Rider   is a bit annoying, maybe the deck might like some Gideon..? A flipped Rider generally dies pretty fast though, so maybe it's fine. Chump attacking for life and languishing the high toughness creatures away is also a nice line.

I feel like maybe splitting Languish and other wipes like Planar Outburst might be needed in some match-ups, but that's for when I tackle the sideboard...
