why have slayer's stronghold. Simian spirit guide seems good for the deck. Gitaxian probe and street wraith also seem good. Also, Emrakul can't be countered and your not casting it anyway. Cool deck.

The Slayers' Stronghold is in here to be a bit more aggressive with emrakul so that you don't need to wait a 3 turns before killing them. Slayer's stronghold allows a bit later game swing 17.

I see one particular problem... even if you go first you still have to face things like Spell Pierce and Spell Snare (I mean there's also Swan Song but I don't think anyone would think of running that in modern) you may win game 1, but game 2, you are basically screwed... If you happen to be on the draw, you add things such as Negate and so much more....

That's what the Remand/Pact of Negation is for. To counter the counters and save the combo...

Why not use Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger as a creature and win con?

I feel like Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger would be a bit underwhelming. His ability is a cast trigger, and therefore I would very rarely get to it, and other than that he is just a 10/10 that will die to a simple path to exile. I feel like Emrakul, the Aeons Torn and Progenitus are both better options because they are both very difficult to deal with, and both have some what of making more difficult to chump block. Ulamog also doesn't have the shuffle in ability that both emrakul a progenitus have and that ability is surprisingly significant to this deck.

So yes, although scour from existence does indeed kill emrakul, I don't think it will be saying any play in modern because of the fact that it is 7 mana. Also although yes the counters are an issue, they are why I play cards like Pact of Negation and Remand, to counterspell the counterspells.
