This is an infinite combo-based Emry, Lurker of the Loch list, winning via infinite mana or drawing the deck then using an appropriate outlet.. From playtesting, the deck felt too fast for our casual pods but it was capable of holding its ground in cEDH pods. I wouldn't consider it fully cEDH since I avoided Reserved List cards. I would personally rate this list at an 8.5 out of 10, just above fully tuned casual decks but below fully tuned fringe cEDH decks. There's a lot of convoluted combos possible in the deck but I listed the most common ones I go for. I would love to hear your comments or suggestions for the deck!

  • Commander - Emry, Lurker of the Loch is extremely resilient. She has a cost reduction effect allowing us to easily cast her even when she gets removed multiple times. Turn 1 Emry is not uncommon in this deck. Our opponents can remove her but it would allow us to dig deeper through our deck with her mill, thus it's not much of a loss. The deck also does not require Emry to function, she simply supercharges our strategy.

  • Mono-Blue - Being mono-colored, we typically do not have trouble getting our colors to cast our spells. Blue gives us access to a lot of card draw and counters, giving us ways to dig for and protect our combos.

  • Artifact-based - Artifacts have inherent synergies within themselves. Stumbling upon combos is particularly fun for me, so your experience might vary.

  • Graveyard-based - The graveyard is a resource for us via Emry's ability. This also means that destroying our artifacts is not a huge blow for us.

  • Commander - Disabling Emry, Lurker of the Loch 's ability with cards like Cursed Totem or Song of the Dryads can slow us down but the deck can function without its commander

  • Mono-Blue - Without the help of another color, we may struggle to answer certain card types or permanents already on the field. We may be able to bounce them but we need a counter to permanently remove them.

  • Artifact-based - Null Rod or Collector Ouphe effects can hose our strategies. This is probably our biggest weakness since most decks run artifact hate.

  • Graveyard-based - Graveyard hate pieces such as Rest in Peace and Scavenging Ooze can slow us down or remove combo pieces, but there are a lot of other ways we can win outside of our graveyard.
