Then maybe a copy of Emeria, The Sky Ruin?

Emeria, The Sky Ruin only returns creatures from the GY to play, and since the only way a Heliod will ever get to the GY is via hand discard, I don't think that particular CIPT land will make the cut.

There is a typo in the desc "nykthos, shrine to nix" should be Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx

What would happen if someone cast a card like, oh, I don't know, Back to Nature? Do you have a way to make your enchantments indestructible? Maybe add an Elspeth, Knight-Errant to be able to create the emblem. With all of the control, you certainly are able to get away with it.

SirFowler- An Elspeth, Knight-Errant emblem would be very nice for this deck, but her other abilities don't mesh very well with the theme of the deck. I'm well aware of the existence of Back to Nature and the other 3-4 enchantment sweepers that are good enough to be played in Modern. I've personally made sure to be familiar with them so I can name them with Nevermore if I feel like they will be brought in against me. However, it is very rare that someone makes space in their SB for a card like that, as Bogles is the only popular deck that relies as heavily on enchantments as I do.

P.S.- Sorry your comment got caught up in my comment clear. I hadn't refreshed the page in a while before clearing comments again.

No worries. I'd just thought I'd mention it.

Current meta would say Rest in Peace isn't as good as some of the other options

April 24, 2015 7:02 p.m.

I'd tend to agree with you on that one tyforthevenom, so I think I'll cut 1 from the SB. My meta does have a few dredge/loam decks so I'll keep 2 in the 75. What do you think I should replace it with though?

the "epic" spell for enchantments Enduring Ideal

April 27, 2015 8:05 a.m.

tyforthevenom- I've thought about using that card, but the only problem is that putting an enchantment into play every turn doesn't trigger the angel tokens from Sigil of the Empty Throne, since those enchantments aren't being 'cast'. However, using Myth Realized would be a good combo with that card as then you have a good mana sink along with Heliod to use all your Nykthos mana. I'll try and get one to test it out anyway though.

As a 1 of you shouldn't mind too much if it doesn't work with a single card

April 27, 2015 9:21 a.m.

tyforthevenom- It's not so much that it doesn't work with one card, as it is the fact that I only have a small number of win conditions in the deck and it doesn't work at all with one of them. The downside of a card with Epic is the fact I wouldn't be able to cast anything else for the remainder of the game (rendering half of my MD wincon cards useless), and those epic copies can still be countered as normal if my opponent should so choose. I'd be forced to win with only Heliod or Myth Realized. In my experience with the deck so far, having the large evasive flying angel tokens has made a difference in many games as opposed to ground-pounding tokens from heliod. Have you had much success with Enduring Ideal in your testing?

tyforthevenom says... #15

Unfortunately not tested it, I play the legacy list where running gy hate is a wincon of itself but I would think that it's better most the time that a dead rip

Luminarch Ascension could be a wincon.

[http://www.magicspoiler.com/mtg-spoiler/starfield-of-nyx/]DUDE HUGE WINCON, IT BRINGS BACK ENCHANTMENTS AND MAKES THEM GIANT CREATURES.

Wow, I'll definitely be testing that one out! Good find MurderHood!

Looks cool, bit it seems like you need some more ways the game than just four cards. Maybe the playset of Starfield of Nyx and Sigil of the Empty Throne. Windbrisk Heights also looks good here.

October 19, 2015 4:32 p.m.

mtgplayer100- I also include Enduring Ideal in my list of winconditions, since it guarantees finding one of the other wincons eventually after it resolves, so there are really 5. I've not had a problem drawing into wincons once my opponent can't do anything. However I am going to make space for a Luminarch Ascension once I get one which will be another wincon.

You just managed to make me sick. This imho is totally broken. Dude. Plus 1 (you actually got me to spell + out of my disgust. LOL!).

November 10, 2015 3:44 p.m.

Thanks Minelia5! That feeling of disgust is not uncommon when I sit across from my opponents at my lgs when playing this deck lol. It's actually gotten to the point where most of them either have heavily altered their SBs to beat this deck or they scoop to me on the spot and get food or something.

Minelia5 says... #24

I'm not surprised lol. Especially if yur a regular at your lgs.

November 10, 2015 4:33 p.m.

Minelia5- Fortunately I have about 8 modern decks, so if this one gets too hated-out then I can switch to another one until they start siding out the hate for this one.
