What Is a Transformation Deck?

A transformation deck is a deck that after sideboard completly changes the deck, thus confusing your opponent into sideboarding the wrong things in for the next match.

In addition to that your opponent will often mulligan down just to try to get a sideborded card to help them in the match, which will create an even bigger advantage for you.

Playing the deck.

To start off you play this deck like a normal Living End deck by cycling your stuff and cascading into Living End

After the first game you swap in your side to make the deck into a Postless Restore Balance Deck to avoid the inevitable graveyard hate.

How to Side Out And when to.

So there is going to times when this deck will need to transform and there will be times when it will not have to. It is tough to tell when to and when not to but you will have to play it by your gut. If game one was super easy and you do not think that their sideboard can shut you down then keep it the way it is.

If you think the opponents side will be able to shut down Living End then it is time to TRANSFORM.

Take out

• Avalanche Riders
• Monstrous Carabid
• Living End
• Differs depending on matchup

Add In

• Greater Gargadon
• Nihilith
• Restore Balance
• Beast Within is the iffy card that you can add depending on what your match up is.

Now your deck has been transformed into a Restore Balance deck and will throw your opponent off guard and make it easier for you to win.

Play Tests

I am currently running a slight budget list on MTGO.(basically cheaper lands)

It is running pretty well. I have found that the mana base seems not to be problematic.

It is defiantly noticeable how people over extend for to beat Living End.
