enpc:

(1) Azorius Chancery is a nice late-game Sol land that can bounce an otherwise tapped land from under Winter Orb or Rising Waters, after which you can replay the land untapped--and yes, it combos quite nicely with Teferi.

(2) Void Shatter is not strictly better than Spell Crumple; in most cases it's actually worse in this deck. There's already also a copy of Dissipate in the deck, each is in the deck to do different things. Crumple can be easily redrawn and reused multiple times with all the shuffle effects in this deck (ergo not clear what you mean when you say Void Shatter 'does more work.') Void Shatter always costs 3 mana because it's colorless, whereas Crumple often costs 2 because it's blue and takes advantage of Augustin. And yes, you can't pitch Void Shatter to Force of Will.

What I mean is that in compettive circles where most decks have a lot of tutors, exiling a card is much better than putting it back into an opponent's library, only for them to re-tutor it. Short of a few cards, exiling is a much more permanent way of dealing with a threat. But I hear you on cost reduction. There is also Faerie Trickery which does not have the same drawback and unless you're playing against an Oona, Queen of the Fae deck or against a Bitterblossom you shouldn't have an issue.

I still don't agree with your assesment on Chancery. If it were a land which just entered untapped it would produce the same effect as bouncing a land (as in you get mana then and there). It may be ok mid game, but it can completely stuff up an early game hand and can force you to mulligan an otherwise playable hand, effectively counting as acrd disadvantage. The drawback greatly outweighs the benefit of a few niche situations. Especially for a stax deck which aims to get a lockdown set up early, the first few plays are vital in shutting down opponents.

Chancery does not fill 'a few niche situations'; it provides anywhere from a two to four mana advantage over my opponents, in my colors, from under one of my primary lock pieces. Your assessment is further wide of the mark in that--statistically speaking--I'm going to draw it mid-to-late-game FAR more often I'm going to be stuck with it in my opening hand.

Hey I was wondering about your decision to run chromatic lantern in a two color deck? It seems not great here.

What about chrome Mox and other fast Mana?

I'm going to have to agree withenpc lands entering tapped are bad at competitive tables :(

I also think 38 lands is probably too many. If you cut some for more 0-1 rocks you'll have an easier time breaking your stax effects.

Stoney silence, null rod, trinisphere. The typical stax pieces are not present here, why is that?

I'm starting to wonder how many times I'm going to have to explain that this deck really isn't a dedicated 'stax' deck so much as it's a control deck with a 'stax' subtheme (it's in the description.)

Also very confused by the suggestion that I should add more 0-1 cost mana rocks immediately followed by the question of why I'm not running Stony Silence, Null Rod, and Trinisphere.

Hey man. Sometimes you need to play null rod to stop the storm player or isochron/dramatic reversal combo.
