Enduring the Infinite

Modern

JacobBaekgaard

A new Impact Tremors brew with infinite damage combo

The idea of the deck is to have Impact Tremors on the battlefield while casting or cheating creatures with token generating ETB effects onto the battlefield with Deathrender - even at instant speed.

To trigger Deathrender at instant speed the deck runs creatures such as Wild Cantor, Skirk Prospector and Sakura-Tribe Elder.

Creatures with ETB effects are Hornet Queen, Siege-Gang Commander and Kozilek's Predator (which is mostly used for its token generating ETB effect having the added bonus of creating tokens with sacrifice abilities).

The infinite combo "only" requires three pieces and the chance/luck/ability to resolve Enduring Renewal. To explain the combo further:

The ideal turn 4 combo win:

  1. Cast Wild Cantor/Skirk Prospector
  2. Cast Impact Tremors
  3. Cast cards with cmc 1 or 2 in deck (perhaps Lightning Bolt or Path to Exile) - If no Enduring Renewal is available the deck runs a single copy of Idyllic Tutor which can be cast in the 3rd round to ensure the combo win.
  4. Cast Enduring Renewal; sacrifice Wild Cantor/Skirk Prospector and float either or ; have Impact Tremors trigger; recast Wild Cantor/Skirk Prospector with the floating mana and repeat the process for infinite damage.

Been having a lot of fun running a casual version of this deck - however this version of the deck also seems insanely strong.
