The idea behind this deck is to use Multiform Wonder + Verdurous Gearhulk or Electrostatic Pummeler + Verdurous Gearhulk to potentially fly in with a 13/1 flying lifelink for 5 or a 20/20 for 6 . It is possible to swing with a 20/20 in turn 5 using the Electrostatic Pummeler + Verdurous Gearhulk or a 20/20 trample in turn 4 using Electrostatic Pummeler + Larger Than Life .

Main Deck Show

Creatures Show

I use Aether Theorist as a nice way to generate 3 turn 2 for the Electrostatic Pummeler in turn 3 and then the combos turn 4 or 5, also there is the potential to scry, which I rarely do as the energy is more useful in other places.

Electrostatic Pummeler is one of this decks win-con's, potentially growing to a 20/20 trample on turn 4, or just a 20/20 on turn 5.

Empyreal Voyager almost didn't make the main board until kutcha pointed out it's synergy with Fabrication Module, giving me a +1/+1 counter to put on it every time it deals damage, meaning every turn I can squeeze through more damage if they are unable to block the trample.

The Longtusk Cub is nice as it can sit there as a 2/2, but if you are on 6 then he might as well be a 5/5 meaning it's hard for the opponents to block.

Multiform Wonder is in here to combo with the Verdurous Gearhulk, potentially becoming a 13/1 flying lifelink for 5.

I have Rashmi, Eternities Crafter in here because it's just an awesome card, and with my 5 drops I can potentially pump out more low drop energy cards or add more 5 drops to my hand for the next turn.

Verdurous Gearhulk was the card that got this deck started after I pulled it from a fat pack and just knew I had to make a deck around it. It's main use is to combo with the Multiform Wonder and the Electrostatic Pumeller to get an early win. However it's so strong as it's counters can be used situationaly. It's also not useless if you have no creatures out as the counters can go on itself to make an 8/8 trample for 5.

Instants Show

I am using Glimmer of Genius as it is a really nice way of getting through the deck towards the Gearhulks and Pummelers and it also gives me energy.

Sorceries Show

Confiscation Coup has been really nice for when you come up against those cards with low CMC's that just ramp up their power and toughness as it steals them for cheap. I've used it a few times to steal a Foundry Inspector and other cards that synergised quite well with my deck.

Larger Than Life was a card that I just shoved in this deck as I didn't have all the cards yet, then I realised how powerful it could be when comboed with the Electrostatic Pummeler and immediately added 4.

Artifacts Show

Fabrication Module is in here because of it's synergy with Empyreal Voyager . It can also be used to buff my Multiform Wonder and Electrostatic Pummeler.

The Panharmonicon is really sweet in here, doubling all of the Energy ETB's, and also giving me 8 +1/+1 counters from the Verdurous Gearhulk. There are a few cards it doesn't work with, but I think the positives outweigh the negatives massively here.

The Smuggler's Copter is just a sweet card and it's hard not to put him in almost any standard deck.

Planeswalker Show

Nissa, Vital Force is another obvious pick. She allows me to get some aggressive damage through with a 5/5 or use it as a potential blocker. But more importantly, she allows me to sack my Verdurous Gearhulk so I can bring it back from the graveyard and retrigger it's ETB.

Land Show

I have the Inventors' Fair in here because I can very easily control 3 or more artifacts, and the artifact search ability is quite nice for the Verdurous Gearhulk.

The Botanical Sanctum is just a really nice land and I think 4 of these is probably a good choice, I may cut one if I find myself getting flooded with them late game.

Aether Hub is a bit of extra energy, and a nice way out if you get stuck without one of your land colours.

Sideboard Show

I have decided to keep all of my control/removal for the sideboard. Not a lot of my mates play control decks, so it's much better for me to play this more casually this way. If I was taking this deck to the shop, I'd consider swapping out cards like Panharmonicon and Rashmi, Eternities Crafter for control cards.

Aether Meltdown is in here for when you are getting swung at by big creatures and need a way to keep them small. It also gives energy, so that is sick.

Aethersquall Ancient is really nice for board clear if it's needed, plus I get the upside of retriggering all my energy ETB's. It's also a 6/6 flyer and a great energy generator.

All 4 of the Bristling Hydra's will be brought in from the sideboard if I am playing against any sort of removal deck, to be able to play 3 energy and completely stop any targeting is sick, plus get a +1/+1 counter.

Crush of Tentacles is in here as another board wipe option if it is required. If I can surge it as well, then I won't say no to an 8/8 octopus.

Negate is just a decent, cheap counter that can be used to protect my bigger creatures when I play them.

Summary Dismissal is in here in case of cards like Emrakul, the Promised End cropping up.

Void Shatter is a good way to counter creatures, and to keep them exiled.
