So I haven't played magic in a few years. But I went to the Kaladesh release and am going to get back into it. This is one of my first decks built for standard format, so any help is appreciated.
In an ideal situation, this deck will win on turn 4. Goes as follows:Turn one - Botanical Sanctum as land for turn, to play Thriving Turtle for block fodder, get (2) energy and a blockerTurn two - Aether Hub as land for turn, get (1) energy, to play Aether Theorist for block fodder, get (3) energy (total of (6)) energy)Turn three - Land for turn, to play Electrostatic Pummeler, get (3) energy (total of (9))Turn four - Land for turn, holding Negate in hand, play Larger than Life (or Blossoming Defense if they have no creatures on board) on Electrostatic Pummeler. Swing Pummeler for 5, wait for blockers to finish being declared, pay (9) energy to swing for 40 with trample. Keep Negate on hand for anything your opponent has in hand to try to counter the attack. But hopefully, since it is only turn four, they will be tapped out from playing on their turn.
The rest of the cards are there for longer running games, or games that you do not draw into this combination in one form or another: Animated Lumbering Falls and Nissa's +1 Land get +2/+2 from Sylvan Advocate so you've got 5/5, 7/7 and 4/4 with vigi to swing with. And Empyreal Voyager to combat flying and get extra energy if necessary. Woodweaver's knot gives energy and life, and Fabrication Module pumps either Voyager or Pummeler for more energy/survival. I haven't gotten to play this deck but once and it wasn't complete at the time. It seems to work well enough. I was reluctant to purchase cards from older sets that are going to no longer be in standard in 6ish months so if you have any recommendations, feel free to share.
