Slevin1204 it might be good in an Artifact heavy deck, but in this build there are far better options.

I think you are onto something very powerful here... I took your concept and turned it into a naya build by adding Territorial Gorger. He is an ABSOLUTE beast here and is easily castable with the current mana base due to the energy filter dorks and the energy flter lands. I also added another energy dump via 2x Architect of the Untamed. Also I threw in 3x Woodweaver's Puzzleknot for more energy production and it has resulted in a high pay off. So the question I have for you is... do you think this deck would become more of a threat via a naya build? Or would it be better as a different 3 color combination? Blue offers some interesting energy dumps too. Anyways +1 for a great idea, I will be doing some heavy brewing thanks to you!

Do you think Nissa vital force could get a Spot as a 1-of or 2-of in the deck?

Seems really cool Have you thought about nissa voice of zendikarOr nissa vital force?Besides that I truly like the deck and I am considering building it if you could fit in a nissa I'll love it but for now +1

I've tested with both Nissas.
To add them I either have to take out some Creatures, which interrupts the synergy, or remove one of my only four pierces of removal, or the ongoing benefit given by Consulate Surveillance.
What would you see as the benefit Nissa gives that is worth sticking her in the deck, other than just more +1/+1 Counters, and what would you remove?

Exiled_soul thanks for the kind words!
There are so many colours you could splash in this deck. I like your take on adding Red.
If I was going to splash it would probably be Blue. It can really help to get extra EC, and I like some of the other effects it offers.
I'm glad I inspired you and I'll try to find some time to check out your deck.

What card(s) will you add if you want to make it naya/bant?
October 3, 2016 11:16 a.m.
You need to chat with Exiled_soul about what Red cards to include, as that was not my idea.
Blue cards I would add are definitely Aethersquall Ancient and Empyreal Voyager, maybe Confiscation Coup and Malfunction.

Sorry if this was asked already but with all the ETB effects here have you thought of adding in 2 or so of Panharmonicon ? Seems it would really RAMP your energy generation up by a whole lot and speed the game up more if thats something you'd like to do.
Edit: I see above why it's not considered. Disregard and nice deck lol

This deck is friggen crazy, playtested it 5 times against my G/U midrange and only beat it once due to a fluke, not sure if it holds up against aggro but I can't imagine it exactly struggles in the first place.
October 4, 2016 12:46 a.m.
Va1kyrie yeah, this thing gets out of hand with +1/+1 Counters being spread around, and stopping other Creatures from blocking.
DiceDice I would only add two copies of Aethersquall Ancient for some late game shenanigans.

How good is Authority of the Consuls? Haven't playtested it yet.
Btw, feels like Blossoming Defense is an auto 'X' of in the 75. Not sure if I have too much of a Modern perspective but it seems so good. However, I could see it be somewhat of a meta call, too.
October 21, 2016 12:34 a.m.
HairyManBack I've seen Blossoming Defense used in decks similar to this one and it works well.
I'm quite happy to have only my Bristling Hydra get Hexproof, and prefer Nature's Way, because of the Trample and destroying Opponent Creatures. Due to what it does Nature's Way just offers so much more than Blossoming Defense, at each stage of the game.
Authority of the Consuls completely nerfs aggro decks, especially those with Vehicles that rely on Creatures to Crew as soon as they hit the field.
It tends to be the first card I Sideboard out, if it doesn't curb my Opponent.

Ic. When Nature's Way was spoiled it looked to be the best 'fight' green removal to date. I've done almost nothing with the new Standard and I've been looking at what it's evolved/ing into. Furthermore, energy mechanic has shown to be much more impactful than I thought. Didn't even think energy would make Standard outside Aether Hub and Harnessed Lightning. And maybe some other less great cards only to warrant Hub and Lightning.
Last night I did play against a deck with Authority. It was annoying for what it did effect. Seems like a good card.

I play very casually with a group of friends and I made this deck for a bit of fun... it rocks, I didn't loose a game and beat a guy who plays FNM regularly! Good job

Glad the deck played well for you Bodyrocker, and that you were able to kick some arse!
Thanks for the positive feedback.

KingEnma it's interesting that you mentioned Durable Handicraft as I was taking another look at that tonight.
I will definitely replace Consulate Surveillance with it, if I think it will work better.
At this stage I'm going to wait and see how this original version of the deck goes before I adjust it.
I played the Nissa Planeswalker deck tonight, with a few tweaks. It's GB Energy Counters.
It actually played very well, making me confident that an Energy focused deck can succeed.
