Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer works on a three part strategy:

Make Tokens

Making Copies

Turn Tokens into Good Stuff

These three components make up the heart of the deck. Once these parts of the deck have been developed and included, the rest is standard EDH strategies of Ramp, Card Draw, and Answers. In addition to the core strategy, some combos have been included in the deck as alternate/synergistic win conditions.

There are ~19 token makers in this deck including Brudiclad. These are creatures/effects that make tokens that stick around past your turn so they can be used later. These include cards such as: Captain Lannery Storm, Curse of Opulence, Faerie Artisans, Genesis Chamber, Master of Wavesfoil, and Sai, Master Thopterist to name a few.

Now that there are good number of tokens on the board, it is time to make copies of good stuff. There are ~16 Copy Effects included in this deck. Arcane Artisan, Cackling Counterpart, Flameshadow Conjuring, and Soul Foundry are just a few of these copy effects.

These copy effects need a good target so the tokens can become an unstoppable force and secure the victory. There are ~11 Copy Targets in the deck. These include some fun interactions to help quickly close out the game. If you attack with several Utvara Hellkites, you will quickly flood the board with more dragons than anyone can handle. With enough copies of Combat Celebrant or Lightning Runner you get infinite combat phases. Or just take infinite turns with enough copies of Timestream Navigator. The best part of the Good Stuff/Copy Targets in the deck is that you can easily customize/change these cards out for whatever you like.

There are couple of Combos included as alternate win conditions in this deck. The 2 big ones are Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker or Helm of the Host and Combat Celebrant (infinite combat phases).

Not so much a combo, but an interesting synergy is Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer and Helm of the Host. If you equip Brudiclad with Helm and then turn the token he makes into a Brudiclad, you get a geometric growth of Brudiclads each turn.

Card Draw, Ramp, and some Answers are added to round out the deck. Note: This is not a super competitive deck. To be more competitive, it would need more Answers and Tutors added to the deck. Also the mana base is very basic (pun intended) in this deck. I just threw what I had on hand into the deck. There needs to be some land and graveyard hate, so I will be adding a Ghost Quarter and Scavenger Grounds to the deck soon.

Let me know what you think and I hope you enjoy this deck. Brudiclad is a very dynamic and fun commander to play.

If you liked this deck please give Engineered Victory a thumbs up.
