Sideboard

This deck revolves on utilizing Pyxis of Pandemonium , a card that is so underrated by many. While this card sucks in paper, it can bring fun and chaos in the battlefield once you flip the exiled cards from Pyxis. This is inspired from Travis Woo's article in channelfireball.com about utilizing pyxis in current standard play. Unlike Travis' WB pyxis, i reduced high risk cards by reducing high cast permanents to small ramp and draw permanents. I only added 2 abrupt decays and 2 ultimate price to help me remove some annoying permanents like pack rats, detention sphere, nightveil specter.

Deck Breakdown

1. Early Game Cards (Sylvan Caryatid, Brain Maggot, Banishing Light, Courser of Kruphix, Abrupt Decay, Ultimate Price)

These permanents help you deal with early game aggression. Sylvan Caryatid gives you mana acceleration and defense, Brain Maggot exiles cards (preferably kill spells), Banishing Light and Abrupt Decay and Ultimate Price kills annoying permanents, Courser of Kruphix helps you fix your drawing mechanism as well as choosing cards that Pyxis will be exiled.

2. Mid-game cards (Eidolon of Blossoms, Doomwake Giant)

These cards help you hold your bay while either exiling cards from Pyxis or ramping all the way to big creatures. Eidolon of Blossoms help you reload your hand by drawing. Your deck is composed of mostly enchantments anyway. Doomwake Giant is my recent replacement in my deck because it can boardwipe smaller creatures...and when you sacrifice pyxis, you can eliminate big creatures thanks to constellation.

3. Chaotic cards (Ashen Rider, Angel of Serenity, Sylvan Primordial, Garruk, Apex Predator)

The main event!!! These creatures help you either remove permanents when you flip Pyxis, ramp it all the way to cast either one of these creatures or simply finish the game.

  • Note: Always be careful when you activate Pyxis of Pandemonium 's sac ability. It can make or break the whole game. Remember, the active player has the priority when you flip Pyxis so plan carefully when you want to use it. Also, you can choose which cards will enter first when you flip Pyxis that's why choose those cards wisely. I will give you two examples:

1) If you flip Pyxis with 7 cards composed of Doomwake Giant, Eidolon of Blossoms , Banishing Light , Brain Maggot and lands, you may choose to drop the Giant first then the other enchantments so that its -1/-1 will trigger 4 times and do mini boardwipe...or choose the Eidolon to draw 4 cards and restock your hand.

2) If you flip Pyxis with 7 cards composed of lands and a Courser of Kruphix, you will drop the Courser first then the lands to gain x life from them. if you have Sylvan Primordial, you have killed a non-creature permanent and you get another land.

This deck is still open for improvement. Comments and suggestions are welcome!

Updates Add

With the release of M15, I did some changes to cope up with the metagame. I added Stain the Mind in my sideboard to get rid of Back to Nature which is constellation decks' kryptonite (still Thoughtseize can get rid of it early game). I also added a Garruk, Apex Predator replacing a Sylvan Primordial to deal with late game shenanigans. I hope this works. I haven't replaced Overgrown Tombfoil to Llanowar Waste so that Sylvan Primordial can still fetch it and also it wont hurt me much. Comments, +1s and suggestions are very welcome.
