Hopefully this is a good budget deck for dredge that is very upgrade friendly. To upgrade, I'd start by getting 4 Life from the Loam and 1 Conflagrate, then 4 Bloodghast. After that, you can work on the mana base, and you'll pretty much have a full competitive deck.

I've left out the sideboard because that will change depending on how you upgrade it and what your meta is. For the cards you'd pretty much always want in the sideboard, get 3 Nature's Claim, 3 Lightning Axe, at least 1 Ancient Grudge, and 1 Shenanigans. Once you start upgrading, get another copy of Conflagrate and try to pick up 2-3 Thoughtseize. Outside of that, you can run any removal/graveyard hate/anything else as necessary.
