This is a fun casual deck, better in one-on-one games.
The strategy is pretty simple, use Epic Experiment with Nivix Cyclops and/or Gelectrode. Untap Gelectrode between each of the spells you get from Epic Experiment to kill creatures which might block Nivix Cyclops.
When casting Epic Experiment, I tend to never let X be less than 4, or its not worth it. Even if out of the 4 you reveal you only get 1 spell, this means that Nivix Cyclops is 7/4 and Gelectrode distributes 2 damage, which is usually worth it.
The Snaps and Frantic Search are best when used with Izzet Boilerworks, Boros Garrison, or
Azorious Chancery
, in that you'll get free mana. Ideally, I'll get Snaps from Epic Experiment, and be able to play more spells even if I tapped out my lands.
I usually don't flashback Mystic Retrieval unless I get really desperate, because you want to play Epic Experiment over and over, and
Psychic Spiral
allows this, even more so if Mystic Retrieval gets shuffled back, not just Epic Experiment. (A side note, I've actually won by mill this way before. When I get a Psychic Spiral, there are usually 20-25 cards in my graveyard.)
I'm not really sure how split cards work with Epic Experiment. I've been told that you can cast both by one person, but by another that you can cast either, but not the other (as long as at least one has a CMC less than or equal to X). Either way, I like to have split cards in, regardless if I get to cast both or not (Gelectrode is great with Turn from Turn / Burn.)
Lightning Angel
doesn't fit so great, but I love it too much to let it go.
