Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.

DECK DESIGN: The Quantum Basics of Theorization
Enduring Generation is a casual infinite combo deck I like to play in multiplayer games, or just for fun. While it lacks speed, it befuddles the opponent while piecing together it's various game winning combinations. It's a very fun deck that lets an opponent wrack their brain while trying to figure out your next move.
SYNERGY: I have a Theory about how Theories are Theorized.
The centerpiece of the deck is
Enduring Renewal, and it's interaction with 0 casting cost creatures such as
Ornithopters or
Phyrexian Walker. Basically, if you have a 0 casting cost creature in play, and get
Enduring Renewal on the board, you can infinitely sacrifice, bounce, and recast the 0 casting cost creature to your hearts delight.
Enlightened Tutor can fetch our signature enchantment, while
Tragic Poet can pull it back from the graveyard.
Avenger en-Dal can turn any card into a
Swords to Plowshares helping us keep the opponent controlled while we build our puzzle. And the joy of many of the combos is, it doesn't matter how much life they have, as we wield the power to crush empires into anthills.
One method of the infinite combo is to sacrifice your Ornithopter to Atog over and over again to make him enormous, then attacking with him. If you prefer, you can do this each turn until eventually the opponent's defenses break, or if you are in a hurry, just Fling your goat at them face first.
Infinitely sacrificing your Phyrexian Walker to Ashnod's Altar creates an infinite mana cycle. We can either use this mana to cast an enormous Shifting Wall that can be Flinged at an opponent, or we can use this mana to cast a massive Fireball, splitting it hundreds of times and allowing you to take the opponent(s) and the rest of the board down in one fell swoop! Embersmith allows you to pay 1 mana with each recasting of your free creature to deal damage as well.
Sacrifice your 0 casting cost creature to Goblin Bombardment to deal 1 damage, then recast your creature, and do it again! Rinse, repeat. Or by usings Ashnod's Altar and Furnace Celebration you can combine the Sacrificial Lamb theory with the Colorless Lotus Theory for Theory on Theory action that would make Newton proud!
Our holy grail is Claws of Gix which combined with Enduring Renewal turns each 0 mana creature into pay 1 mana, gain 1 life. If we have Ashnod's Altar in play, we can essentially gain as much life as we want. 100? sure, 1000, why not, What does an opponent do when you have enough life you are essentially immortal?
SIDEBOARD: Schrödinger's Cat Paradox
If there is no cards in the sideboard, does it cease to exist?
BUDGET: Economics - The Theory of Value
I build every deck under a $100 budget, to be affordable for most casual players. While this removes many of the higher priced and sought after cards from my potential pool, it also forces me to be creative and look into a wider scope of cards. Occasionally I have a deck that exceeds this amount, either due to price inflation over time, or getting a few lucky pulls in packs that I opted to keep, and in those rare cases, I will attempt to annotate replacement options that would bring the deck back in line with this budget.
