Lots of creature hate. The goal is to focus on dropping lands and removing threats before you make yourself a target with the Enchantments and certain creatures. Life gain is essential throughout the game. The commander gives you card advantage in late game. The collection of Sorcery's is what makes the deck out last your opponents. Focusing on one target is not necessary. You can win with mass Extort/life gain, or Zombie overrun. Each spell brings the game closer and closer to an end. If you can keep the commander in play from your fourth land drop/turn you will make everyone wish they could get a life! Since he is an indestructible enchantment before your devotion to Black for 5 hits, he will be mostly target-able. Once he is a creature and you can give him protection, you can be more careless with your life.
