I like it! You may want to throw in Toxic Nim , Dread Slaver . or Mikaeus, the Unhallowed . Unliving Psychopath is funny, and Endless Ranks of the Dead is useful. Nim Deathmantle for your few non-zombie creatures.

Thank you! I like alot of these selections. I hate infect even though I'm using Phyrexian Crusader I just think it would be silly not to use a first strike zombie with protection. And infect is good even if I don't want to get a poison kill. So I don't think I'll be adding Toxic Nim . Dread Slaver is good and I'm thinking of adding one. You are forgetting Geth, Lord of the Vault and Mikaeus, the Unhallowed , two of the best zombies ever! You could also use [suggestion: Phage the Untouchable] as another win condition. Also with all the love for mono black, there shouldn't be a problem with Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx . Helldozer might be a better idea than Polluted Dead , as he can be used over and over, and is a much bigger hitter. I love tribal zombies so I will give you a +1! You should look at my tribal zombie deck, Slippery Sac Attack! to see if any other brain eaters pique your interest. You could gut out Viscera Dragger who is kind of weak, at least compared to the guys that I have recommended IMHO, cut out Wight of Precinct Six , who while nice is only really powerful in mill, and maybe a Swamp for Nykthos.

Honestly if I was considering taking out the Door of Destinies and Grave Betrayal . But when they work they are glorious.

Sheoldred, Whispering One and Oversold Cemetery both come to mind!

I wasn't sure if I wanted to use a Sheoldred, Whispering One in the deck before. It felt to far gone from the zombie theme. But now that I've added a Phyrexian Obliterator to my deck. I defend him by saying I can use Nim Deathmantle to turn him into a zombie. With that logic I can defend sheoldred too. I probably will be adding her in. Thanks for posting Aelorith2117

I really like this deck. I'm going to give it a +1. There's something about a pure tribal deck I love so good job staying with the theme.

One slight thing I noticed is Zombify . There are just better options, Necromancy was mentioned and it kind of sticks with the theme and is just all around better. :)

Also, love the Game of Thrones reference.

Graveborn Muse would work great in this deck for a ton of card draw

@maxpower1118: Graveborn Muse would most likely kill him after just a few turns. It seems like a good idea in theory, but think about it.. he's going to try to get out as many zombies as possible.. let's say he has 6 zombies out, including Graveborn Muse . Sure that's six cards drawn, but that's six life as well.

Next turn he'll play the zombies he drew into, let's say that bumps his field up to 8 zombies.. then he draws 8, loses 8 life.. Not the best thing.

Graveborn Muse is best used as the only zombie in the deck so it can act as a Phyrexian Arena with legs.

Graveborn Muse works great with Platinum Emperion , or Platinum Angel !

personally Id main deck Korlash and use Balthor as commander, loose Grave Betrayal for Grave Pact and i always liked Graveborn Muse +Ivory Tower in my zombie decks

I do agree that Butcher Ghoul is underwhelming. But he's a cheap zombie and I do enjoy his undying mechanic.

The other cut cards you listed I'm hesitant to get rid of. (Except for Null Champion , and Grave Betrayal which HAVE been cut.)

Undead Gladiator I don't enjoy because I'd have to discard to get him back. Gauntlet of Power can backfire if I'm playing another black deck. (That is why I'd consider Nirkana Revenant before Gauntlet.

Sol Ring I'm worried might not be as good as a black mana. (I know that SOUNDS stupid. But my need for true black mana is what makes me think that Sol Ring might not be the best for me. I mean yes I could turn 2 drop a Undead Warchief with 2 Swamp and a Sol Ring . But what if I get Zombie Trailblazer or Phyrexian Obliterator .)

I considered putting a Demonic Tutor in this deck. But decided that having more zombies might be better for a long game. As long as I'm dishing out a horde of zombies. It doesn't matter which ones they are. So for right now I've taken out the tutors, and plan on using card draw like Ancient Craving and Erebos, God of the Dead

I've never been much of a fan of Diabolic Intent , and Vampiric Tutor is just too expensive.

An awesome land for zombies is Unholy Grotto . Someone just recently showed it to me so I got a copy for my zombie deck.

Also, you could still use Grave Betrayal . If you get that and Grave Pact together with a decent sac engine, you can lock down a board pretty effectively. I did that with Carrion Feeder and Gravecrawler . It led to a pretty humorous board state.

I can't say much about Undead Gladiator because I haven't had a chance to use him yet, but I've heard he's really good.

Graveborn Muse so far, for me has been excellent. She will get you the cards you need. Who cares how much life you lose with her? Just extort your opponents for their life. I also like using Pontiff of Blight .

I feel like Decree of Pain would be better than Sever the Bloodline . Does your group use a lot of tokens?

Hey man, the deck is shaping up and looking really good! One small tweak I would make would be to swap out Murder for Hero's Downfall . It's just all around better. Hits those problematic Planeswalkers. :)
