Sideboard

Enchantment (5)

Artifact (1)

Creature (4)

This is my best attempt at a competitive budget old school deck that is not mono black. The strategy is very straightforward: play strong threats, destroy theirs, and win through midrange beatdown. You have the best removal spells and sideboarding options in the format, and some great efficient creature threats that are not easily answered. The main tune that brought this deck above 50% is granite gargoyles. It eats hippies, knights, and factories, and flies over moat. It also can avoid being bolted. Unlike elvish archers is does not get pinged easily by triskelion either. As far as sideboard for black. Karma and whirling dervish are far superior to COP: black. Clocking is so much better than board stalling against a deck with the rack, discard, strip mine, and mishra's factory. The COP: reds are there for goblins and Tax's Edge. Disenchant their library of leng at a critical moment, and when they play land's edge they will have a hard time killing you if you have COP: red out. For full powered decks with blue a full set of REBs are helpful, but in these matchups you really do have to draw well while they don't. This just gives you the best chance. Tormod's Crypt is for that one guy playing reanimator.
