A little different take on using Zur the Enchanter. I wanted to use him, but not be the win con.

Alternately, we can use Sydri, Galvanic Genius as our commander and do decently. Zur can easily dominate games, so Sydri as our command is quite a handicap, yet still fun.

Huge update. This time the deck is more focused.

Playing the Deck

There are three parts:

• Taxing, land restricting (not so much destruction). We are going to slow the game down, very much so. It will be very hard for players to cast big things that could threaten us.

Cards such as Rule of Law and Static Orb.

• Drawing, discarding. We want players to draw a lot, we can force discard, but with the game running at the pace we set (slowwww) they should have overflowing hands.

Cards like Words of Waste, Font of Mythos

• Life lock, vice grip the board, finisher. We can lock our life in place, and with each turn tighten our vice on resources. We can easily pull up a finisher.

Cards like Energy Field and Platinum Angel. There are more ways to not die.

Finishers, cards like Forced Fruition and Liliana's Caress.

Geth's Grimoire + Waste Not + Words of Waste = Discard opponents hands and benefit from it.

Forced Fruition + Underworld Dreams + Waste Not = 7 damage per cast plus hand overflow !:D

edit I decided to morph my stax with this, very fun and powerful with Zur as commander, but with Sydri it is much more fair and easy going.
