Idea from ADTPG's Deck Ashnod's Fridge
This is an Esper Colored deck designed to abuse
Ashnod's Coupon
+R&D's secret lair. The goal is to have your opponents rage quit due to being broke from having to purchase too many drinks, or get tired of getting up to get you free waters.
The back up plan is to win with Disciple of the Vault and graveyard triggers.
Card Choices:
Main Combo:
Ashnod's Coupon
+R&D's secret lair
Prototype Portal: When you drank everything on Earth start getting your Ashnod's coupons from other dimensions.
Recursion: Academy Ruins,
Leonin Squire
, Auriok Salvagers, and Salvaging Station.
Salvaging Station also combos with Executioner's Capsule as a reoccurring
Terror
for 1 each creature. As The station untaps whenever any creature dies not just creatures you own. I suggest throwing an Irish Funeral whenever anything dies.
Tutors: Expedition Map - Ensures we get R&D's secret lair so we never have to pay for our own drinks
Trinket Mage - The biggest alcoholic in magic, he always looking for free drinks and he comes prepaired with coupons.
Fabricate - Used to get Prototype Portal or Salvaging Station
Dispeller's Capsule+Executioner's Capsule Control to interrupt opponents game plan. Also can tutor and recur from graveyard as needed with support cards.
Help Needed:
The deck is currently at 62 cards and I am trying to cut it down for consistency.
I am also looking for an infinite combo. I thought I had one with Paradox Engine+Salvaging Station, but the station plays the artifact onto the battlefield, which does not trigger the engine.
Mana-base is expensive and I am trying to make it more budget friendly with no loss of function (ex: Artifact Lands + Prototype Portal)
The deck is currently designed with tutoring - Experimenting with the maybe board on Jeskai Alcoholics (WUR) colors and Looting effects Careful Study/Faithless Looting+
Ovalchase Daredevil
Lastly, Not sure it is legal, but if
Cheatyface
is in the sideboard can you cheat him into play (When your opponent leaves to get you a drink), or does he need to be in your hand? I couldn't find any official rulings for the card.
