Turn 0: leyline of the void and/or leyline of anticipation. Hopefully leyline of the void is first. Turn 1: land, lotus petal, pay 2 life for surgical extraction, pass. Play painter’s servant on opponent’s turn naming blue as the color. Sac lotus petal to cast grindstone. Opponent passes turn. Turn 2: land and possibly another lotus petal. Various counterspells in hand to avoid any surprises. If opponent is tapped out and I have another lotus petal out then I’ll activate grindstone. Opponent mills out and since I have leyline of the void out, those cards don’t come back. I have the other cards in the deck more or less for flair and in case something happens to where I’m not able to do that. In that case, Iona will have to shut my opponent down by not being able to play a specific color. Painter’s servant will help her out here too. Also griselbrand because griselbrand. Black vise can come in handy for opponents that like to draw cards. I feel like it’s a good fit for the main board. I’m not entirely sure yet though. I’m open to suggestions if anyone has any ideas.
