Esper control with a tutorable win con in the form of a fatty and unburial rite.

Sphinx of the steel wind is a beast that is nearly impossible to race for any fair deck.

Platinum angel is just a decent animator target against a lot of decks.

Grave titan is the backup target if there is a Liliana on the board and can of course take over a game if left un answered.

Lingering souls are both good in defense against affinity, UR aggro, infect, Zoo, etc.. aggro decks.But Lingering souls can also be a very fast clock in more grindy matches and can take care of planeswalkers, like liliana.

3 boardwipes to be able to gift for them. Ideally day of judgment should be damnation (but I'm a poor man atm)

Catalog is a neat card to discard an unwanted finisher, and at worst it's just an instant draw spell.

Esper charm is amazing. It digs for anwers or strip combo players hands. it can be brutal against storm in combination with the other hand disruption spells. (+ it can destroy annoying enchantments like pyromancer's acension or maybe even a blood moon)

thoughtseize, Inquisition of kozilek and duress clears the way for the gift combo. (and makes a gift package)

spot removal: path to exile is the go to removal card, but a murderous cut and a slaughter pact is included to make an unpleasant gift for your opponent.

counterspells: mana leak to buy some time early on.Spell snare is a sweet protection spell againt remand, when you gift.
