The mana base is quickly put together. It seems fine. I don't have
Hengegate Pathway
s, but I'm not sure they're called-for.
I only have one
Burning-Rune Demon
, but he's kind of cool when you run into him. I usually grab Thassa's Oracle with him to mess with the opponent.
Probably needs
Doomskar
against aggro, but incidental lifegain is nice anyway.
Shepherd of the Cosmos works really nicely with
Charming Prince
which can loop. Also, sometimes Shepherd just grabs a land for a T5 play.
Fiend Artisan
is a big boi.
Gyruda, Doom of Depths
is always fun with
Thassa, Deep-Dwelling
.
Thassa's Oracle
is often the win condition here, if the deck can't get through the opponents defenses fast enough. There are enough fliers and big recursive threats that it's entirely possible to lock up a board state which is just what we need.
Niambi, Esteemed Speaker
bounces things like
Shepherd of the Cosmos
in the late game, and is also really important as another way to get Thassa's Oracle back in your hand. Both can be reanimated with Shepherd or any other options. Plus, Niambi can discard extra copies of
Thassa, Deep-Dwelling
for more cards.
