Esper Khantrol

I have finally hit a point where I am very happy with this deck. I love running great control decks, and Esper has always been one of my favorite decks to run. It has TONS of removal this set, and some solid win cons, in and out of mainboard.

INSTANTS

The power behind this deck, instant speed spells will keep your opponents on their toes. Hero's Downfall is a 4 of, creature and planeswalker killer for only 3 mana. Utter End is an instant speed "get that crap out of my game" removal spell! I absolutely LOVE Dissolve, I run 4 of them and I don't have any problem casting them! Last Breath is a low cost, aggro deck killer! Bloodsoaked Champion, Elvish Mystic, rabble master don't stand up to it! Dig Through Time gets you what you need and fast. The delve mechanic makes it a great card because you will have plenty of cards in your graveyard at all times!

SORCERIES

End Hostilities is a decent replacement for Supreme Verdict (Goodbye my old friend) and will clear the board of any pesky creatures your opponent will have lurking around. Thoughtseize. Ah good ol' Thoughtseize. It will make your opponent frustrated when you disrupt their perfect hand (or not so perfect). Like I always say, if you're not poor, run four! Despise is a great partner in crime with thoughtseize and will cut your opponent's creatures and planeswalkers straight from their hand.

PLANESWALKERS

Our win conditions, our saviors, our deck itself. Elspeth, Sun's Champion will throw up tokens and make them fat in no time at all with her -7. Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver is great for control decks and midrange decks. She doesn't care about your scrying, and she doesn't care about your lucky top decks. I was skeptical about adding Jace, the Living Guildpact to my deck, but he has a bounce, a draw mechanic that also adds useless cards to the graveyard that can help with Dig Through Time delve cost and his ultimate is great! So 1 has made it to my mainboard.

CREATURES

Is your life lower than you want? Just Resolute Archangel. There you're back at 20! Now fly at their face.

SIDEBOARD

Brimaz, King of Oreskos just in case you need another beat down. Dark Betrayal for the evergrowing Abzan decks and mono black decks. Deicide because i've seen some enchantment decks lurking around, as well as some gods. Disdainful Stroke for mono green ramp decks that cast big things early, and midrange decks. Bile Blight for weenie decks and Mantis Riders. Liliana Vess against control decks and heavy hand decks. Suspension Field against big creature decks. And last but not least, Nyx-Fleece Ram for early life gain and an early blocker!

Please let me know what you think and don't forget to give this a +1 if you like it!

Updates Add

I am very grateful to have a deck of mine reach 32 score! I won't be playing this anymore and I will be trading it off for another deck. Thank you guys very much for your feedback and +1's! This deck is very fun to play but it's a bit slow and you need to play perfectly to win. Maybe it's just because I go to a store that has a lot of big tourney winners that I just can't seem to win! If you ever do well with this deck, let me know, i'd appreciate it greatly!
