Been tweaking with the idea of Spell Queller and Wasteland Strangler in the same deck. I have another deck on here that's more of a traditional taxes type deck. This one is harder on counters and adds a new processor: Ulamog's Nullifier. Bad Spell Queller is still a Spell Queller.

EDIT: S P I C E. Spice gets better the more spices you add. I tried Thief of Sanity. I tried really hard to make it good. Added maindeck grave hate to stop the downside of filling your opponent's graveyard. I put in counterspells to protect it. I put in removal so people won't just block it. It didn't matter. It's just bad (in modern). Everyone is just playing decks that are so self focussed most of the time their cards are just garbage. After this epiphany I decided to look for some other source of card draw. I considered stuff like Jace, the Mind Sculptor and Teferi, Hero of Dominaria like, but they cost too much Mana on my turn. Then, it dawned on me: the perfect solution that helps gum up the board, draw cards, fuel my processors, and is great with Aether Vial: Fathom Feeder! It looks super jank, but in testing it actually seems good. I'm going to do more testing but so far it helps wave off against attackers in aggressive decks and let's me do stuff with my Mana at my opponent's and step after leaving up counters for their turn.
