Esper Red Dragons (Cockatrice League Jan. Week 3)

Frontier* Control Dragons Four Color WUB (Esper)

enryu

Sideboard

Black/Blue Control with White/Red splash. Being control and instant heavy you mostly play on the other player's end step, leaving mana open for counters and kills. Quick Breakdown:

Counter Spells: Silumgar's Scorn and Void Shatter provide most of the needed counters, with Negate and Dispel in the SB for extras.

Creature Hate: Between Crackling Doom, Murderous Cut, Ultimate Price, and Foul-Tounge Invocation, you can usually let creatures hit the board and kill them on end step or your next turn.

Draw: Dig Through Time is OP and provides most of the hand setup you need, Anticipate picks up any slack.

Life Gain: Ojutai's Command and Foul-Tongue Invocation function as the life gain in this deck. Between the two they make up a possible 16 life to be gained, not to mention recasts.

Dragons: Dragonlord Ojutai, Icefall Regent, and Silumgar, the Drifting Death function as activators for Foul-Tongue Invocation. Aside from being hexproof, Ojutai is an Anticipate on a stick, and Silumgar is token hate.

Graveyard Interactions: Torrential Gearhulk can return any instant in your graveyard with flash, and in combination with Dig Through Time can set up insane late game board control. Kolaghan's Command returning these to your hand ensures you get insane value out of them.

Lands: Bloodstained Mire, Flooded Strand, and Polluted Delta provide insane mana fixing. In combo with Sunken Hollow, Smoldering Marsh, and Prairie Stream you will always have the mana you will need.
