Thunderclap Wyvern
is one of the coolest Magic cards ever created.
In this deck, you can use
Thunderclap Wyvern
combined with Sorin, Solemn Visitor to have several +2/+1 and lifelink-ed creatures. It's got some of the best removal in Standard, too(Utter End,
Ultimate Price
, and Murderous Cut [Which is on the sideboard for now]).
Faerie Miscreant can synchronize with other fae of its kind, and is a efficient aggressive creature by itself, not to mention with
Thunderclap Wyvern
.
Aven Sunstriker
and
Misthoof Kirin
are a group deal since they both have (Mega)Morph. Besides that, they're the main basic creatures of the deck, along with
Fetid Imp
( and High Sentinels of Arashin in the sideboard).
Center Soul
, Negate, and Monastery Siege can all be used as saving throws for
Thunderclap Wyvern
, as well as unblockableness, meddling, and draw power, respectively.
Torrent Elemental is a beefy flier with a team-unblockable effect. It can also come back from exile unexpectedly if it dies, is delved away with Murderous Cut for some reason, and only then if the special cost is paid. It's complicated and obscure, but very nice when/if it works.
Necromantic Summons and
Supplant Form
are alternate ways to get a Thunderclap Wyvern, although they are sideboarded for now.
I think that the curve is okay since most of the two-mana spells are instants and come into play only at certain specific times. For examples, consider these : Negate,
Ultimate Price
,
Center Soul
.
My deck is still not finalized (Just look at that sideboard), so I'm free for most suggestions. By the way, Flooded Strand and Polluted Delta are not in because as of now, they are $15-20 each. I already have 4 of Sorin, Solemn Visitor, so they're an exception to the price rule. So yeah, feel free to upvote and stuff (Disregard this message if the deck is really, really bad).
