Esperkul, the Aeons Polymorphed

Modern Control Faeries WUB (Esper)

-MisterJ-

Sideboard

Totally original (I honestly thought it was original when I first posted it) deck that I've been pondering for a while. The idea first came up during the days when Storm Crow was a popular joke card and I said I wanted to Polymorph my EPIC foil Stormy into an Emrakul, the Aeons Torn.

But then I thought... naw that's stupid. I can't run only two creatures in a deck. Or can I? Insert dramatic music here

So I quickly came up with a semi creatureless deck that features all of the fantabulous things that Esper control gives us, until I drop the mother of all beasts into play. And while I may not get the extra turn from casting the God of Zendikar... I just brought him into play for 4 to 5 mana off a fairie token or a land.

As my local meta loves to say... Sucks to suck dudebro!

And did I mention the deck can Polymorph ITSELF?!?!

Now lets just say that you're playing against super creature hate decks. It happens. Twin has a lot of creature hate, so does 'Merica control decks. Maybe they keep burning off you're cute little faeries before you get to resolve Polymorph. Then lets bring out the guns.

By guns, I mean side out Emrakul, Progenitus, and all of the polymorph mechanic and lets just turn this into Faerie beat down in Esper town. In comes Scion of Oona as well as Cavern of Souls plus anything else that helps against a certain deck type. Jund? Two more Leyline of Sanctity. Living End? Leyline of the Void helps against that. Pod problems? Affinity aggro? Pithing Needle and Stony Silence should slow them down a bit.

As always guys, thanks for checking out the deck, and since I haven't slept in two days... Please drop some hints on what to change, add, remove or just tell me this deck blows and to gtfo! Awesome sauce. Please +1 and remember to spay and neuter your pets!

BYE!!

Updates Add

Okay people, this is (hopefully) going to be the last update for a while now that I'm closing in on the control aspects of the deck and play testing more against solid decks like Boggle, Tron, Living End, and Tarmo/Splinter Twin.

Silence is to good not to have as a play set. So I took out the two Gitaxian Probe and I'm settling in with Inquisition of Kozilek over Thoughtseize mainly because in play tests I'm losing way to much life to shocks and Seize, then dying after resolving my Emrakul or whatever.

Besides that, 9 times out of 10 I'm tagging removal or counters with the hand disruption anyways, all of which is under a 3 drop which is fine.

Moving on, I'm still missing 3 Bitterblossom but I managed to find a foil promo Emrakul and a FTV Progen while a friend gave me a Blightsteel, so I'm well on my way.

We all have decided that all 3 creatures are good in their own way and it depends on the type of deck whether I need Blightsteel or Progen, that being said Blight will be SB for now.

Blight is better against RDW, Scapeshift, and Twin, while Progen is better against any deck with white in it. Path to Exile is a beotch.

As always thanks for the comments, you guys are amazing, I think 99% of you are awesome and I would never wish a plague upon your home or family.
