Unlike most churches, at Orzhova it’s best to pray before you arrive.

The original Guild Kits, while being a terrific idea, had a lot of questionable picks, but left out some in-guild cards that would really benefit the kit in question. Not to mention the lack of streamlining - just throwing together a bunch of guild cards doesn't make a synergistic deck, you have to be more selective. So I decided to make my own.

While the official Orzhov kit built on the sacrificial aristocrat shell of , my version doubled down on Extort instead. It plays very well in casual setting as a way to sink mana alongside those lategame 2/3-drops; plus, the gameplay of slowly taxing your opponent to death feels much more Orzhov than sacrificial tokens.

I nominate Lingering Souls to get alternate art. Give the Orzhov staple some guild flavor! Night's Whisper should get an Orzhov reflavoring akin to its Golgari version. Sign in Blood would be amazing flavorfully, but it's cost kills it in a two-colored deck.

As always, I am more than happy to provide explanations for any card included (or excluded).
